list of vane moves that give + on block

Here's a compilation of vanessa's moves that give advantage on block (in vanilla VF5):

Damn! So many moves that give + frames on block. Great list. I could see this being very effective to keep putting pressure on your opponent.

 

I recognize most of them but they're so hard to predict sometimes.

To be honest i compiled this list in response to feedback by AssassinCP, tonyfamilia and KaminariOyaji, thinking it would be useful playing against vanessa.

 

yeah but the mass majority of them are highs out of OS. and usually highs that are at the end of a string. I find it hard to abuse these move on anyone since people don't like to let me reach the end of my strings. stupid 2p lol.

 

I think it will help against her. You have to know where you can go for a counter and where you shouldn't.

Many times I assumed I had advantage but I was actually behind in frames. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gifis deceptively deadly at +5 on block, that's enough for him to go for something big in a spot where a lot of people would, unknowingly, abare.

EDIT: Looking at her command list, Vanessa is definitely one of the characters that's "good on paper."

 

Out of those OS strings that end in a switch back to defensive stance, dont forget Vanessas basic DS punch is just 12 frames.

 

When I played your Vanessa I was getting annoyed that she never seemed to be at a disadvantage. That, not knowing her throws and her ability to slide about the stage.

 

So pretty much every move that gives + on block is a high?
I shall crouch more when playing against Vane from now on

i noticed you were gunning me with lots of stuff the other day so i just kept guarding until i realized "O SHIT" lei-fei can reverse punches. Even when I'm being outmatched i can always rely on it.
