LIVE players play boring. what happened to style?

I rather lose a match that is fun, entertaining and stylish then winning a boring ass match of lame boring meh.

A win in may be a win, yeah. But a boring win is mega meh. Alot of people on LIVE just play to win with the MOST booooriiing tactics just to win. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Here comes the overly safety safe boring safe bablablla safe meh.

Not a matter of cheap or not cheap. A metter of putting me to sleep with repition, safety and machi blah.

There was this Akira player who was super fun and entertaining to play against and he was going for style. I enjoyed that match alot. I did not care that I lost the match because he won it with style and pizazz and to me that was honorable and fun and hope to meet more enemies like this.

 

Maybe their idea of fun is winning in general

Add the people you like to your friends list and have some private player matches with them. You have to expect that people are playing to win in ranking battles.

 

I'm mega super flashy fancy fantastic when I play. I like to pull off a few headspins, windmills and other breakdancing moves. Then I get everyone in my living room to chant "Served served served served!". How's that for pizazz?

Lag makes many attempts to be "flashy" to make you simply look stupid.

Also, many of the "flash" oriented players idea of playing fun is to use the most retarded moves over and over simply because they think it looks good (see all Jacky players using 9K+G, Akira players using 66KK etc)


Playing to win = fun.

 

I particularly like playing against the boring players. Why? Well, boring players tend to play very one-dimensional. When you open up a full arsenal on them you can literally see them lock up.

Hit them with something completely unexpected and then watch them as they struggle to change their style up. Pure shambles.

There are also players like me who just got into Virtua Fighter and are still learning the game. Just because we are not pro like some of you guys, doesn't mean we don't deserve to play online. I work full time and have a wife, so I don't have 5 hours at a time to sit there and learn every combo out there. I play as Kage, and I admit it, I only know a few combos. I try to develop my own style, but I still have to rely on what I know. I try to learn a few new things each day to mix it up though.
