London VF5 matches

Hi guys,

Here are some matches between the following players BK(Wolf),Archangel(Brad)and Shin (Goh).

These are all casual matches taken from about 2 weeks ago needless to say we are all trying to get used to VF5 and improve. Anyway here are the matches i hope you like them,enjoy!

just a side note~

shin is shin shikimaru / sometimes known as "slayer" ~ actually he's getting really good at the game in such a short space of time ~ very detremined to use goh as his main~.

 

Yo AA, BK. Can't you put the replayfiles up for those of us with PAL systems to download?

Thanks for the compliments Yosuke, i used to play with Pai but i have switched from her to Brad now and im trying to learn him i have a long way to go yet.

 

Oki, here's a minifaq first of all if you don't know how to do this (will cut and paste this into the european replaywhine thread);

To take over to your PC;

1) Put in a usb storagedevice (any will do) into the USB outlets on the front of the machine.

2) Go to game>saved data utility>go to the replay you want to share

3) Press triangle>copy>pick the usb device.

4) Put your usb device into your PC, open it in explorer or something

5) The replayfiles are inside /PS3/Savedata . Pull the folders over to your computer.

6) You can share the entire folder but it's prefered that you delete everything exept those 3 files that are in red above. The rest are just graphicfiles. This reduces the filesize from 2mb to 50-60kb per replay.

7) Zip or rar and upload somewhere like rapidshare.com, ultrashare.com, turboupload.com (or give at irc / host somewhere else etc)

8) Share the link



To copy the replays;

1) Just put the folders onto your USB device. It's important that the replayfiles remain in the same structure! That is they have to be in /PS3/SAVEDATA - otherwise your PS3 won't find them.

So an example would be you on your USB device having a folder now named BLES00029-REPLAY0034 inside your PS3/SAVEDATA directory.

PS3/SAVEDATA/BLES00029-REPLAY0034 should then contain atleast 3 files (the ones marked in red above earlier).

2) Take the usb storagedevice and put in your PS3.

3) Go to saved data utility>scroll to the top>pick the usb device, press triangle and copy to your harddrive. You should now be able to watch the replay in VF.TV

If you can't find the replay / use it you either haven't kept the filestructure and/or is not using the same system (Palsystem to see pal replay's etc)

Looking forward to building a big archive of EU replays on my PS3 and will share some matches soon. I main Pai though in VF5 (yes I'm a whore).

P.S; If you haven't done it yet register a fake USA acc and go to their PSSTORE as they have a whole lot more content then the EU one :O)

im really trying to save up money to go to this year's EVO2k, so i hope that goes well~ the only problem is i dont own VF5 yet, so my training will be pretty "on & off"~

As for Brad most of the stuff im doing at the moment is on pure reaction and not really thinking correctly, finding it pretty hard after 4 years of only playing with Pai. Not to mention BK_'s Wolf is pretty intense to fight against.

 

Hi the biggest scenes for VF in the uk are London, up north in Manchester, and Scotland, have a look in the match finding forum uk needs more vf players

 

I don't think Manchester is that far away. I can even travel to London but it's not something i'd like to be doing a lot. Thanks for the advice optimus.

 

Same here, I'm at Uni in Warrington, near Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. I won't mind going to up north for a few games once in a while.

Also a go back to London every month for the weekends, so I'd also check out some matches if I could find them.

 

UK needs to set up something bigger i think, because the scene has become divided into ppl who dont have a chance to play VF5 and those who do, but cant arrange things often enough~

i really miss those old days where ryan hart ~ use to setup regular tornaments ~ hatim's RB events were great also.

Well, if we can get a few people around the area that are willing to host VF5 get-togethers, maybe with people bringing their own sticks and all, that could revitalise things, maybe?

It's a bit of a stretch to invite people you've never met to your home, though. Maybe organise a few weekend-in-London for some matches on whatever arcades are on offer? Been a while since I've been to the Troc, Play to Win and the like, so I have no idea which arcades are in London right now.

the best person to speak to for up north sessions is LM akira , I think he's going to sort out a rb season for the north.
For London I heard Hatim is going to organist the rb's again soon, I'm not sure on the exact date but as soon as I hear something I will post it here.
Also there is a tonir being run in may with cash prizes by neo empire, check their website for related vf news too (the details are also posted in the torni section here).
p.s yes it is a shame vf is now divided, in the arcade days anyone could play now it's those who are prepared to spend their $$ on a ps3 /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif
p.p.s As for the arcades they are all pretty rubbish for vf apart from casino which has vf4 ft, on mega stiff sticks lol, but we occassionaly still play there on fridays.

 

Hi. Yeah as optimus was saying once I can get a few more heads together up here I will start running RBs. We currently have around 5/6 players based in the area but unfortunately only 1 set up thus far (mine) but I have 3 sticks so at least that's a positive.

As soon as I can find 8-9 players to kick things off I will begin RBs immediately and try to run one each month.
