looking to get an xbox 360

But I would like to spend under 300 bucks if possible. There are a ton of refurbs listed....are there any horror stories with them? I also keep reading about a possible price drop? Any recommendations?

 

I dont' have any recommendations other than you should buy new, because you get the warranties.

360's resale value is NOT GOOD. The system is a ticking time bomb, so the resale value is mad low, so you could risk buying used or trading off of craigslist.

A 360 past warranty that's downed, costs $150 to get refurbished.

Thanks for all the help. I went and got the elite for 200 bones + 40 bucks for 3 year warrenty. So, now the big question - what sticks should I get for vf?

Yeah bro! I think it's a bit better than the HRAP Pro Ex that I have. I used the TE stick more in the VF gathering at Konjou's place last weekend than my HRAP. Of course this is just me. If you know anyone with a TE stick I suggest you try it out first.
