1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

Just thought if anybody else think that it would be cool if you could make your own items up for your charachters to put onto them. I know of a lot of cool things I could put on everone. Let me know what you think. Annnd..... if this is done or can be done by now just let me know politely instead of saying something sarcastic. Thanks.

Great idea! I hope someone at SEGA is reading this. I don't see any reason why this feature wouldn't be added for future console versions(i don't think it'll work on the arcades).

Oh wait, just found a reason (i'm not being sarcastic /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif). I don't know how it will tie in to the game. hmm...

The game we're talking about isn't on the internet.

How many people out there can do 3D modelling anyway?

Scan it...and it could always be made internet accessable...I think most people here are missing the point - this is a what if thread.

How about creating our own pattern/design for the characters' already existing items.

I think this is easier to implement in the game. With that said I definitely would want the opportunity to change the pattern on Lion's Prism Cowboy Hat.(he already looks gay as is /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That would be cool too. Eventually we might have systems that are powerfull enough to make 3d models out of scanned images..upload an image of a item, the game already has the power to translate that into an image an item...that would be tight.

heh, well, to me this is the point of what if threads. Crushing foolish young hopes and dreams, muhahaha@!@!@

Seriously, it's not practical. Scanning a 2D item isn't going to make it magically 3D in virtua fighter 4 or 5 or whatever we're talking about /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Beyond that, how can the internet stuff your new item onto a game disc? You'd need to burn it onto there and I don't see DVD rewritable arcade or PS2 games happening.

You could draw a team emblem pixel-by-pixel on the cell phones that link up to VF.net in japan. Maybe something that'd work is to use the internet connections for vf.net to update items on connected machines. Every week sega could hold a contest for someone to make a model in 3DSMax or Maya or whatever, and the best one will be included on vf.net and downloaded on the fly as needed, or else some sort of rewritable HDD could be included in machines. It still limits it to people with the talent and software, but once it's created everyone can win it.
