America will be in the shit hole for 4 more years and nothing will change. God help us all because no one else in the world will.

I cannot wait to see the spin this administration gives when they have to start the draft. Of course for some reason Americans will be ok with it and others will want Bush's head for lying, but guess what he did it to us before and you dumbasses voted for him again.

It's sad....oh well I guess I'll go back to my "internets"

    From that article...

In the summer of 2002, after I had written an article in Esquire that the White House didn't like about Bush's former communications director, Karen Hughes, I had a meeting with a senior adviser to Bush. He expressed the White House's displeasure, and then he told me something that at the time I didn't fully comprehend -- but which I now believe gets to the very heart of the Bush presidency.

The aide said that guys like me were ''in what we call the reality-based community,'' which he defined as people who ''believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.'' I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. ''That's not the way the world really works anymore,'' he continued. ''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.''

That's at the end of page 5. I've only got to half way through page 6. The article is fascinating and very scary at the same time. The United States is powerful enough to create reality on Planet Earth. We're being led by someone guided by faith who rules with an iron fist tempered by fear. I stopped going to church five and a half years ago. I don't regret it. But now all the bullshit I didn't like pervades the leadership of our nation. Acquiesce or die, motherfuckers.

    Prayer accomplishes nothing.

    Fucking Ohio

Dude, what the fuck is wrong with Ohio? They are among the hardest hit states thanks to 4 years of Bush and they put him back in the White House. Bad Economy, good jobs gone, McJobs replacing them- and still they want more!

It's like a giant W. straddled the the nation, dropped trou, and took an enormous dump on the state. And four years later those fuckers wriggled their way to the top of the shit mountain burying their state, so that they could let their voices be heard- voices requesting that a bigger, stinkier dump be taken upon them.

I am from the "Heartland" myself, but I do not understand these people.

the power of the corporate media, fear, and ideology (which is to say jesus freak retards). i heard one woman interviewed who said that although she agreed with kerry on most issues, her "faith" dictated that she must vote for bush.

That page is really funny (regardless of how credible it is), I used to think all americans were simply dumb as shit, honestly, but fortunately I´ve met enough americans (and USA is huge man, I live on a 300.000 population Island...) to change my mind about that. And I know there are lots of americans just as distressed as I am to learn that their country elected the ***** ***** ***** for president again. It wouldn´t have surprised me if he had actually done something good in his last 4 years..... tell me that he did....

It´s not that I had it going for Kerry either... but any f**** chipmonk is better than Bush...

Hell, I'm glad I live outside the US. Although that doesn't even matter much since America is hated all over the place. Well, it's not that bad where I live... or much different than it was before the election.

Just to pick up on your point about "jesus freaks". I was reading the BBC's opinion section asking Bush voters why they decided to re-elect him for another term. One guy stated that the overriding reason was that America was still a strong Judo-Christian country, and contrasted this with European secularism.

This reminded me of a 1991 Gallup poll which showed 66% of American's belive in reincarnation, and 89% believe in "God" as defined literally in the bible. Contrast that with 20%/25% across Western Europe and amazingly 5%/7% in East Germany!

The countries that were second and third to America (I think) were Poland and Republic of Ireland - both very strong Roman Catholic countries.

In that poll America also had one of the lowest percentages when posed the question "Do you believe in evolution?" I think it came bottom.

If I can find the poll I'll link it here.

    Kicking Ass for the Lord

I think you meant "Judeo-Christian," though I like the idea of America as a "Judo-Christian" nation. It brings to mind the kung-fu priest in the movie Dead-Alive.

Hell Yes! Judo-Christianity is just fine with me. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I also am pretty disappointed on the outcome of the election...and actually a little confused. Can anyone tell me the reasons why anyone would vote for Bush? I am not going to flame anyone, I am just curious so some online documentation would be nice... Yes, I am from Georgia (but believe it or not I did not know one single person here that was for Bush, probably because I hang out with only internationals ... ) and, interestingly enough, I (and all family) am actually from Kennesaw, Georgia (northwest metro Atlanta)...this is apparently one of the most conservative towns in the south. Because a few years ago, Bush selected my highschool to talk about some economic shit (I was too busy skipping school to listen to the tard), and we had like snipers in trees while we were eating lunch outside...a little disturbing and "Secret" Agents posing as janitors! lol
Those guys had to be the worst agents in disguise I have ever seen! Like, one had a leafblower and was just fucking standing in the middle of the road looking around for about an hour, every now and then turning the thing on and off. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Anyways, the only reasons people vote for Bush I heard from one of my friends were "moral and values", this can't be all (God (who or whatever) help us if it is)...

Thanks to anyone for their help,

    Ja.

The only nice thing anyone could sa y about Bush is that there's a good chance he'll fuck up the states so badly that America will lose its supremacy.

    fingers crossed...
