I just read on eventhubs that PlanetXbox360 reported that Capcom has announced Marvel vs Capcom 3 at Capcom Captivate in Hawaii.

    http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2010/apr/17/all-official-marvel-vs-capcom-3-works/

    http://www.planetxbox360.com/article_10306/Marvel_vs_Capcom_3_is_Coming_to_Xbox_360_from_Capcom

Info so far (directly from eventhubs):

Confirmed characters so far are Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto, Storm and a few others will return.

    • The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 development team said they will be blowing fans out of the water with the sheer number of characters this game includes on the disc.

    • This will be another 2D fighter — gameplay-wise — but will be something of a cross between the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 4.

    • The rumored release date is late 2010 or early 2011 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, no plans right now for other systems.

    • The game will run in 1080p resolution.

    • It will be a disc-based release.

    • Apparently the game will have unlockables again.

    • Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be playable at this year's E3 which is held on June 15 - 17th.

Well, it's not much to talk about. There's no screens, no gameplay footage and... well... nothing else really.
    I haven't played MvC2 but I've heard different opinions.
Some love it, some hate it. I guess all Capcom games meet are "doomed" to that fater [IMG]

Nevertheless, I'd like to see how a crossover title will work when released as a PS3/Xbox360 title, not just a PSN/XBL one [IMG]
Always wanted to see Wolverine and Spidey in 2.5D fighter [IMG]

Woa now, let's not act like Capcom is giving us what we want. SF4 did turn out like SF4 after all.

I will say in regards to Sonic games, this is indeed true. I have been playing rush on my DS for the past 3 weeks and cannot pass the 7th stage. Why the fuck does this game have so many pitfalls and drops?

If CapCom made another Rival Schools or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, I'd be checking that out... Might give MvC3 a chance, just maybe--- That's all depending on how less/more broken it will be...

Honestly, I would've been hyped over a CvS3... I mean SNK had way more characters that should've made an appearance (Gato, Eiji, Shermie, Heavy D!, Shingo!!!, etc)... Capcom could also bust out with more Rival School and Final Fight characters imo...

Sounds good, Im a cvs2 fan also but there's no taking away the fact that a remake of this popular classic was due.

This is great news I was a big fan of MvC2 and quickly lost interest more and more as I found other games to play. I can't wait to see how good the game is when it releases

you could replace sega with quite literally any developer.
