With the kitty can't u set up some legit unblockables? She seems pretty good to me, but alot of the cast does at the moment. People complained about x-factor sentinel, but its really every character in general that can straight chuck a whole team on level 3.

I might end up using sentinel just for the assist; its too damn good.

Yeah, she can cause unblockable setups on her own, but her kitty helper assist will cause her basic combos to no longer work. I'll have to go into training mode with it for a bit.

She's really strong on the ground though, probably one of the best. With her 1 frame throw and moves that will leave her right in front of you regardless of if you pushblocked or not. I got dante corridor assist for the air anyway. Oh yeah, she has a teleport too.

    Edit: teleport crossup assist stupidity.

The development team are the same guys behind Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Ono I believe was the lead guy. Apparently he and the lead guy from SSFIV had some beef and they're basically fighting it out by making their own games. I forget what the other guys' name is. You can find it somewhere on SRK's website.

Ryota Niitsuma is the producer for TVC and MVC3

Yoshinori Ono is the producer for SF4.

I really need to see a good MODOK. I want to play him but I can't get my head around him. I may just have to get better at recognizing his light attack hits as I'm missing most of my combos because it's short range makes it hard for me to confirm. That and jump flying.

I'm having fun with this game so far even though Sentinel still makes me mad

Probably not too many people know this, but Niitsuma has also worked on SF4, together with Ono, until he got his own project and started producing the Vs.-series. When I interviewed him in January, he was hoping to do a Capcom vs. X vs. X crossover with two franchises plus Capcom instead of just one.

Thanks for the video, it's great!

As being a noob, so far mvc3 is really good:) If I was young and had time to dig in, I would love this game~

Yeah thx for the vid, much appreciated, MVC3 is one of the most enjoyable games I've played for a while, theres no way this game was made by the same team that made SSF4, MVC3 is a whole different league

I got a new team atm.

    Deadpool/Trish/Amaterasu

They seem to work well together. Also, I had once thought Haggar was weak, I take that way back. His jump pipe is very strong. If he doesn't have an assist to get him close though he's toast.

Okay so I got the hang of doing some combos with Modok. Instant overheads are where its at with MODOK, but I think he can't rush without a cover. So I pick Doom hidden missiles to cover my fugg ups and give me help in spamming with Sentinel for backup. What I find neat about MODOK though is that technically unless someone goes for an air throw flight gives him the opportunity to just block for a long time vs rushdown eliminating the low instant overhead game.

BUUUUUT, goddamn Zero and Dante seem to smear my MODOK due to their reach [IMG] Granted I don't expect MODOK to be able to rushdown some of the best rushdown characters but pushblock does nothing against Zero [IMG] I'm considering HAGAR just for GTFO me assist and easy analyze cubes.

    My other team.

    I'm really feeling Deadpool/Task/(Storm/Sent) though.

Has anyone seen a decent runaway team without Arthur on it?
It somes tough in this game to play keep away to me. To many
teleporters who also happen to be good pixies, without a lot of good AAA options.

I think I might actually buy that guide for frame rates. Life
won't allow me to get great at this game but damn it, it's too fun to just suck at.

Biocom/Trish/Task is my current main team... I can attack from all angles and Task can use his vertical arrow assist so I can rush straight forward... Trish is fun too, since I can wavedash with her... The thing that sucks is that if the opponent is blocking her qcb+H (scythe toss) move and push blocks, it not only push blocks the scythe, but her as well, so I can't wavedash in if I wanted to... I'm kinda working on a pseudo infinite with her, but its looking more like a simple loop setup as after about 10-11 hits, the opponent can seem to get out... Taskmaster, well I like his style, and I love how he can provide mixups on his own and he's even more deadly with Trish's qcb+M assist...

Gouki/Arthur/Doom is my alt team, but if Gouki is out, then my other two are still solid enough to compliment each other. I don't run away with Arthur as much either... With Doom assist, I can go in and toss that boomerang with Arthur and mixup to combo...

All of the characters seem fun in their own right... I tend to try out all of the other characters, and they all seem very competitive, even those with low health... TvC was like that also...

So far this game meets the Sharp7 mark of approval.

btw so far my team is-
dante(huge dmc fan, although orginally I wasn't gonna main him because he seems uber popular, hes just too fun), spiderman, super skroll.

of course I've only been playing for a day, and I'm trying to work taskmaster in their somewhere cause I like the character in the comics.

Seems to easy give out mass damage in this game with not much effort because the combos are too easily pulled of in this game. The game also feels like its being played on 'rails' .Yeah i have it and is fun but its just rather easy to dish out or take a huge combo which doesn't require much effort then into the next characters huge combo then into super leaving your character pretty much defeated. If the average player could of pulled half this shit off in mvc2 we would all have been pros at it! ITs fun but i think alot of true fans and serious gamers of the series will understand some of my points.
