The blue-bomber is back in "Rockman 9: The Ambition's Revival!!" and probably not in the way you might be thinking...

Classic mega man back in da houwze!

Capcom has presented fan-service-on-a-stick with this game and if you're remotely interested in the rock, and haven't picked this up yet, you're doing yourself a disservice and should probably be dragged out to the street and shot at sunrise.

After playing it and beating it, I can honestly say this installment is definitely worthy of ranking as one of the best in the classic Mega Man series. Its easily worth its cover charge in the solid game play, ranking system, and sick music alone but they are also providing us with downloadable content and updates in the near future.

If you're not cultured in the way of the 2D platformer though it will prove to be a challenge. It has been denounced by many critics and forum boards to be one of the most difficult titles in the series.

Currently available for download for around $10 USD on WiiWare and PSN. It will be available on LIVE marketplace Oct. 1st.

    Opinions?

    Agreed.

Dood, Wily's stage is off the chain, but I still think one of the most difficult enemies in the game is the sub boss on Hornet Man's stage.

    Monkey, Jewel Man's BGM FTW!

Downloaded it and was dissapointed. This shit did not withstand the test of time. You can tell this game was sitting around since 93 and capcom being the rehashers they are sold us a doozy.
I would've took River City Ransom over this bullshit with online Co-op.

Great stuff, though I was a little disappointed with the shortness of it. Chock-full of ass-kicking fights, pattern-memorizing, and of course hair-pulling, haha. And I'm not convinced that getting rid of the slide was entirely necessary, but the removal of the charge was a welcome change of pace.

As someone who spent $30 on Mega Man Anniversary collection, $10 on MM9 felt a little steep, but still not too expensive to have not been worth it. I enjoyed playing this way more than MM7 and 8, so maybe there's something to be said?

I just hope Capcom can get their shit together, make a next gen Mega Man that actually works and captures the intensity and fluidity of the originals, and that opens a way for Mega Man X. Come on... Mega Man 10, Mega Man X? Too good to resist. DO IT CAPCOM. STOP SUCKING.

Capcom and Nintendo are the only companies that I actually have faith in nowadays.

I've not beat MM9 yet, haven't had much time to play.

Only beaten Concrete, Splash and Galaxy so far.

There is a download pack being dropped today on xbox. It will feature playable Protoman with a dash and charge weapon as well as an "endless" level.
