Melbourne, Australia - Couchwarriors Sunday 15/02

Hi all,

With the news that VF5 will be in WCG again, I'm trying to drum up support for the game locally and hopefully interest some of the general fighting scene to give it a go as well.

So if you're in the area please head down this Sunday.

Here's the details:

Where: John Curtin Hotel, Band Room - 29 Lygon St, Carlton
When: 15th of February, 2pm-10pm

$5 Entry allows you to play in any and all tournaments

Virtua Fighter 5 will be at 3pm. If you have sticks/controllers, please feel free to bring (VF5 is 360)

Thanks for bringing it up on such short notice. I'm probrably not going to come by this month, I'm not really in the 'area', but next time is a maybe.

By the way, I encourage all VF players to find out where their local gatherings are particularly for fighters, and try to have VF involved. WCG is a good carrot, as way to promote the whole fighting scene whichever game people normally play.

 

Tournament was fun today - only small, 8 players, but building the interest, a few players there for other games had a go, a couple of players who are VF fans.

It would be good to see more people who are currently on the scene come to couchwarriors.org and get involved in the local community, and help build a VF scene at this monthly event.

Will definitely run again next month so plan to be there, towards end of March.

 

damn, didn't see this until now. I'm going to be in Singapore for the next couple of months at least but maybe the others will come down if this is a regular event held in the city. Just started when I'm leaving, how sad /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Just found out about this from Alex. I didn't know melbourne had at least 8 other VF players! We got 4 vf players and would definitely attend next time.

Heya. I'm Kenny, and I sometimes go along to Couchwarriors. Been reading the site for a few years but never registered.

Used to play VF4 at Bluehouse in Melbourne city, and VF2 and VF3 at Orchard Emerald in Singapore before Bugis got it. Haven't played very much VF5 though, so don't expect me to be that good at it.
