    Hi everyone

I have been having trouble with my memory card recently. It is very odd because the problem is only happening with one game and it has only started doing it recently.

what is happening is that when I try to play "Smackdown: shut your mouth" it tells me that I do not have a memory card inserted. I have no trouble accessing the memory card otherwise.

I doubt that this is a problem with a corrupted file because in that case it would tell me that either: a) "error reading file" or b) "no file found on memory card, would you like to create a new file"

I am hoping that someone has had a similar problem and can help me out.

    Thanks

    Robin

    Sorry,

I eat my words. It was just a corrupted file and deleting it fixed the problem.

    Bloody Hell!

Now every time I try to save a created character it screws up the whole game and i have to delete the game file again to fix it. What the hell is going on?

Throw that card away and buy a new one.

you sure? it is only happening with one game... I wish I knew someone else with a ps2 so I could experiment a bit.

    For what it's worth:

How about picking up a used copy of Smackdown: Here comes the Pain, you should be able to get it real cheap these days (and it is an improvement over SYM).

(I realise that doesn't answer the Memory card question, but it does avoid the problem.)

not a bad idea... I am a bit worried that the same thing will happen though.

Haven't had problems thus far (but then I didn't have problems with SYM either). Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
