On with the show. Brought back a lot of memories. I'm sure Kojima knew that's what he wanted. I still remember were everything was at,lol.</div></div></div>

being on the boat was intense.. i think it was the most sneaking i've done in the game b/c facing the geckos and haven soldiers was too much while trying to get inside.

also... was anyone else freaking out while fighting laughing octupus?? i must admit, that shit was freaky. i think b/c the place was so tight and the music and voice acting really added to it.

 

Yo I couldn't fathom sneakin through that place. I tried, got alerted, then made a break for the end...started trying to open that door...got smacked by a gekko...it was too intense!

It's kinda sad...I don't even like her in real life, but she looked cute as hell outta that suit...

question.. after fighting crying wolf, i found a mini statue of her... did i miss the statues for the other characters? did you guys get anything?

btw, did any of you guys let the beasts grab you in their human form? i was always curious but too scared to let them get near!!! esp the first time, when she kept timing her teleports to dodge my shot.. i was freaking out. the lighting during their human forms is priceless too

 

They just grab you and your health drains slowly...kinda funny...When octopus started walking up to me I tried to hug her...that didn't end well.

 

Did ya kiIl any of the BB Corps? I didn't, I put them to sleep. I read the guide at Gamestop(To see if I miss anything)What I gather, it seems I missed alot of stuff, like the statues(Like Dark Gift mention)and a couple of "cookies". I'm going to try and beat it in the afternoon. Best week I had in gaming since the first week of VF5 Online came out(No sleep)

I got one aftr fighting the frog troops or whatever they are called in act 1 and the crying Wolf one but I didn't see any others.

Anyone know where the rest are and what they do?

If you happen to take out the beast forms by tranqing them, you get a figure (you usually have to find the figure nearby when the bosses are in their Beauty form). There's 5 in total and once you collect all of them, you unlock the Solar Gun on the next playthrough. If you ever played Boktai/Luna Knights, the gun uses solar energy to stun enemies. A fully charged shot knocks out PMCs and drops ALL of their ammo and weapon. Try using it on the Beauty forms and also on Vamp.

Here are Unlockables in MGS4. Check them out.

There are 5 statues overall. I've found 2 of them so far, but I should have found 3 (forgot to pick up the Octopus one).
Whenever you beat one of the BBs (the first statue is an exception, you get it underground, after the fight with Frogs, when Meryl team accompanies you) you have to search the place while her human form is following you. If you beat them using non-lethal methods and collect all the statues you get something called Solar Gun... too bad I missed that one statue, fuck.

Anyway, as far as I haven't finished the game yet, I am writing in this thread already. Check the link and tell me if you can get Big Boss Emblem. IMO it's impossible! (maybe if you go through the game without hunting unlockables at all).

Right now I'm starting act 4. So far I have only a few recovery items used, no kills, no alerts and many weapons found (around 50 now).

Well, the only problem with Big Boss Emblem is the time management. The fact that you can save up money and ammunation from previous playthroughs and then switch to Extreme Difficulty makes it easy to, for example, buy every Weapon Drebin has so that you don't have to waste much time on getting weapons from PMC or Milizia.

Hmmm, i don't see how having access to all the weapons will help with getting the Big boss Emblem. You can't kill any enemies if you're going for that emblem, so you only really need the mk.2 pistol and the Mosin Nagant. Not much point bothering to check enemies for ammo, i don't think they ever drop ammo for those two weapons.

I just played through it again, took me 8 hours this time and no continues. I did get a few alerts and have to use recovery items a little though.

The advantage is like I said before the fact that you don't need to hunt unlockables (well, at least you must not want to do that) the second time if you managed to get what you wanted the first time. That means you can only focus on going the shortest, fastes way through the game /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
I'll try to that the second time /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif This way I should get Big Boss, Fox and Fox Hound Emblems at the same time! This means I'd get most of the weapons! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif (The Patriot Gun FTW!)

Don't forget the Big Boss FaceCamo. Together with the CorpseCamo and you see how Snake will be in MGS5.

Yeah Boss gave it to Naked snake at the end of 3, i'm guessing it's the same weapon.

After waiting in line at Midnight and paying 89.99 for limited addition. I'm takin it reeeeal slow, Just now on Act 2 suckin up every inch of the map, accomplishing mostly everything by CQC, hiding, in my barrel and cardboard box! ROFLMFAO

Just finished the game on Big Boss Hard. No kills, no deaths, no continues, no alerts, unfortunately it was my first time playing it so I took 20h to do it. Got the final rank: Octopus and some additional emblems.
