Okay, it's like this: MGS >>>>>>>>>>>>> MGS2:SoL

Which means Twin Snakes (a.k.a. MGS remake) is gonna be THE bomb. Anyone else waiting for it?

Nope! The US version comes first and then the Japanese.

But the Japanese version features Jap voice actors!!

 

I read somewhere that Twin Snakes will be released in Europe first (March 1st). Just like they did with Silent Hill 3, except that this time the rest of the world won't have to wait that long, only a couple of weeks longer.

I am not. The Resident Evil the remake was remake enough for me. I liked it, but i would rather if capcom put the effort into a new game instead. Its got to be a lot diffrent for me to bother getting. Also it will most likely be really really easy as well like the first one. I replyed the orignal metal gear more than enough times.

That's the one. I think it's the same one that's been available at Konami's website for a while now.

Exactly how much does Twin Snakes add to the original besides updated graphics? At the very least I want first-person shooting.

 

Sons of Liberty engine/system. Plus something knew, or that's what I heard. The cutscenes are all new. I'd also say there are new weapons or gadgets, and that the levels might be a bit different (to get the best out of the new system).

It's not MGS. It's MGS:TS. The only thing that's old here is the story, and that's the best thing about Twin Snakes. MGS >>>>>>>>>>>>> MGS2.

 

They add a TON of stuff. Watch the trailer and you'll see. Cutscene enhancements are amazing and the gameplay is refined to a level higher than MGS2. I can't wait till this comes out.

 

mgs3: is it true you will actually be able to kill and eat little animals such as fishes, i saw the trailer and it featured army dogs, some fishes, etc. I think you will also get "skins", such as an alligator head that you can put on and disguise yourself( instead of card board boxes found in mgs2)

 

Metal Gear:solid id the best of the series, I'm betting is going to be similar to Substance for the PS2, hopefully they'll add a skateboard, a few hundred VR missions( last time I heard VR missions is included with the game) and hopefully you'll be able to play as Ninja.

So its worth playing the same game again just for better cutscenes and more things to do in the same levels? Its got to bge at least 30% bigger for me to get excited about. Soon the every game will be remaded. I would rather play someting brand new. Also i find Resident Evil lost its retro charm being remade. Take away the lighting effects and better gameplay and you find the old resident evil was a lot more scarry for some reason. (I been playing it recently the hunters are a lot more powerfull.) Dont get me wrong i liked the remake but it was time spent on something that could of been used to make a totally orignal resident evil game. Same with metal gear most Cube owners most likely have played it anyway.

 

Remake was much more scary than the original, especially when those Zombies revived, and that Zombie chick, anyways most of the good games now are remakes, changed to a new console with more features or they are just expansions. Look at Capcoms game's they're all ports of the original versions with a few extra things. The only way I would see TS as a muxt buy if they added a lot of replay by adding stuff when you beat or get past a certain time in the game or at a selected dificulty ETC...(like PD)

 

id get a gamecube for this game alone... if not for the game, then just for collecting it and bringing back old memories... *sigh... missing those days.

The graphics don't look as good as Sons of liberty or the new one for the PS2.
