MK vs DC thoughts and reactions...

I think Ive played some sort of UFC game.. Although it had pretty bad game mechanics.

 

I'm still into K1-Grand Prix even though the one I have is for PS2.

They have far more variety and game play than boxing simulations, but not as much (IMHO) as VF.

 

Those are exactly the things they are trying to change in Fight Night Round 4. They demonstrated a load of deficiencies in FNR3 that their looking to improve on, in particular emphasizing the differences between boxers in a more pronounced realistic way. this should be a deeper game with more variety.

The old UFC on dreamcast was quite good for it's time and very different to anything else. If the new game is an evolution of that it could offer a very good and different experience to other combat games. It might not be to everyone's taste though.

I made that judgment based on the fact that one guys costume consisted of a cut up T-shirt tied over his eyes... The ultimate low-budget costumes of all time for sure though. In that pic KoD posted, Kyla's blades look like they are literally made out of tin foil...

Titan's axe looks plastic even in the screen-shot... They bought the costumes at KB Toys I think.

 

Now that is the definition of a low budget costume!

I'm suddenly dying to see this game in action but I can't find a video anywhere. They have a picture of their game cabinet (this game was intelligently planned for the ubiquitous arcade market in the USA) yet, no video?

 

That guy looks like a really dodgy rip-off of Mukuro from Last Blade 2.

 

I'd actually like to see another Primal Rage. I loved Vertigo and Blizzard.

 

More Killer Instinct would be nice.

 

That is good the game that fully adapts to player and changes their approach reminds me of VF ai that is how it should be but the key is this will game read you button inputs and if so how much. Many gamers really hate it when the game reads the gamer's actual inputs and moves thinking the game is cheating and encourages them to quit as the game beats up on all their basic strategies in due time. This basic idea should be used in every fighting game it will really force people to improve offline it is a shame it isn't used as much as should be.

 

Killer instinct would be really but the infinite combo potential really makes for a very 1 sided game unless the game is balanced some. I have the game on N64 I just wish I had the drive to play it again.

If Rare really is working on a KI follow up.I pray they don't pull another Nuts and Bolts and bring. . .lets say,a KI game with RTS and Racing elements while the fighting is just tacked on./forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

 

The UFC games were "ok"....the gameplay was kind of spazstic. The ground fighting was more like connect the dots than putting stuff together. The K-1 MAX game was a bit better.

 

yeah I didn't get Nets and Bolts because it's not what BK was. It's like a totally dif game

 

Dude, I'm still liking this game and playing it everyday... There's a lot to it.

Took a look at that galloping ghost website and wow... just wow. Your right, those are the friggin lamest costumes I've ever seen. They look like they went halloween shopping at shoppers drugmart.
