MMORPGS

Anyone else here play MMO's?

Just wondering. I know there are several RPG fans here, and that the somewhat compulsive nature we play and strive to get better at vf5 slightly lends itself to MMO's.

So is anyone else playing them?

 

I've played quite a few of them. I'm sort of bored of the sword and board variety now, unfortunately.

I'm going through it at the moment, and I think I might start playing an MMO game pretty soon (there's just tons of quite cool ones) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif


Ok, so far those are the one I find quite interesting:

Atlantica Online - what strikes me as unusual is the turn based fighting system. Great graphics and party based gameplay, sounds intriguing.
MegaTen - this one seems interesting mainly because it's placed in well known Persona games world. J-RPG fans should definitely look into it.

 

I use to play Guild Wars, but had to freaking stop. It was taking me back the same path as Ultima Online(No sleep)

 

Playing EvE online here.

I used to play City of heroes which died for me long ago, I tried age of conan a bit and bit of wow..

ps. Im placing lot of hopes for DC universe online...if its ever coming out.

 

i've been enjoying WoW, but i think i'm starting to lose interest. Been playing about 3 months now

 

Never really got what was so good about WoW
Got bored of it after 5 days...

 

I've tried MMORPGs, but they bore the crap out of me. It's like those games reward you for having no life. Well, I did enjoy playing the original PSO, although that isn't technically an MMORPG. But PSU was crappy and boring, so I dropped it pretty quickly.

 

Yah, with regards to exploration... why not go exploring in the real world? Go for a hike. Go to a museum.

i play ffxi, since a bunch of my friends started together when it dropped for the 360... i tried wow, but it kinda bored me... i was on guild wars, but the level cap to 20 sucked, and once u get the skills u need to make a good all around build, whats the point of doing anything else... oh yeah i still play psobb from time to time... way better than psu if u ask me...

 

You play ff11 what server r u on jinxhand?

i don't play on earthen ring, but i wish i did, lol. I don't per se know anyone personally who does. But the guys who run this podcast have a VERY active guild there. http://www.myextralife.com/wow. The podcast is very entertaining, i've listened to a few and it is just well made. Their guild has some weird latin name, but it should be not too hard to find from the site, and sounds like a great guild, and u would find lots of players of all levels to play with. Hope this helps.
