Modding a DC Agetec stick for use on PS2

I don't have a great deal of experience with doing this kind of thing, but I really want an arcade stick to play VF4/Tekken 5/KOF and I feel that modding my old DC stick would be the cheapest alternative. So I was wondering if anyone could help me with rewiring one or knew of any useful links?

    Many thanks in advance.

Easiest thing in the world. Take a 3rd party playstation controller...one of the cheap ones...pop it open, map which buttons go where and solder the wires which were going to the board in your stick onto the desired locations of the joypad board. Solder all your ground wires from each switch to the ground "highway" running all around the board and pop that baby in. 90 minutes tops.

LOL, I didn't realise it was such a simply solution! I was semi-expecting something akin to rocket science. I think I can manage it ... just.

I'm gonna try and use the VMU slot cavity and somehow fit the remaining buttons into there.

Got a bit of a query though: I see five wires coming out of the left of the stick's board going to the main board, coloured (in this order):

    1) yellow
    2) orange
    3) red
    4) brown
    5) black

I'm assuming the black wire is the ground. I was wondering, which wire corresponds to which direction on the stick, as I'm having extreme difficulty in figuring it out!

You'll have to look at the stick board and trace the little lines to which switch they originate. And yeah, the black one is probably the ground. Another option is to just use the ground as is and solder your other directional wires directly from the leads on each switch. Sorry if I don't use the proper terminology here. Good luck.
