Rules:
Default Life
45 Seconds
3 Rounds
Random Stage

Single Elimination -
3/5 games single elimination. Once final 8 we switch to double elimination UNLESS yall want to keep with single elimination. Double will also be 3/5 games as well. I think this format should run smoothly in a timely fashion.

*In the case of someone dropping from the match, the person who drops loses that match set unless it was the deciding loss then they are to the loser bracket. If it is an ongoing problem with a certain player and he is doing it on purpose just eliminated.(this matter can be discussed in this thread)*

Im not so sure that this would work but i guess it cant hurt to try. Ill support the idea but i wont be entering any online tournys

It's not nothing to be taken SUPER serious but just something to do in general, other than play rank (hoping for the best), or just player matches with 1-2 people a nite.

Just a suggestion haha

As long as it doesn't take away focus from people attending offline events, and they're better organized than the DOA4 tournies were online, it should be fun.

I'm in! Will there be west/central/east "divisions" or would everyone be together? For instance, I have a great connection with Chief Flash despite being across the country from him, whereas other east coasters' connections turn things into a buffer fest. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

i think it should be done by division and then the winners from the division pool together for a separate tourney which can be planned out a lot easier since it's fewer people. Because of time differentials I think trying to do it any other way would just be to chaotic.

I see I have some people who are interested. Well I am thinking I will run the first one as a whole seeing as the lag goes because lag seems to be weird. For the most part though it seems playable.

I am not trying to replace Offline however, it's just that everyone can only travel 2-3 times a year at least out of region and there aren't a LOT of tourneys anyway.

I will run the first one during January. Probably on the 26th unless that is a bad date for ALOT of people. I will probably do TWO different tourneys though for east coast and west coast if the west coast heads can't because of the time frame.

Now do yall want single elim or double elim?

If Single Elim: Up to final 8 (or 16 depending how many sign up) then 2 out of 3 till Grand Finals which is 4 out of 7

If Double Elim: 2 out of 3. Loser Finals 3 out of 5. Grand Finals 4 out of 7 (Loser has to win two sets of 4 of 7)

Those can go or if you guys have a better way you would like to do it post up and if majority wants then we go with that.

The date would be January 26th @ 8pm EST.
If West Coast people can't do it because of 3 hour time difference then I run a separate tourney afterwards for you guys at 8pm PST(?)

Throw me in. Ninja just wants people to play VF, keep players active and all that. This game doesn't get huge turnouts at tourneys, and some people want/need to keep their competitive spirit up, not to mention there may be people who can't travel much/travel at all. No problem from me using online for fun.

It's to get people playing. And there's opportunities to meet new people online too. I'm in for this also.

Yes. I'm in. now lets vote for which type... Right now, I don't get Single and Double Elim, could someone explain that for me?
I always play 2 out of 3... So idk. And lets make it monthly, that way we can keep the XBOX Live Forum alive with threads. That way we have a champion for every month.
