1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

That's great news. Where is J.M Amusements located? Do you know the address?

You'll have to update us on the Montreal scene as it develops, White. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Note: As far as I know only the Japanese Kits/version of EVO are GD-ROM. The Asian and NA kits are ROMs (i.e. a Naomi2 with a ROM board in it, instead of a DIMM board and the GD-ROM).

Why did they do this? Well this is a huge assumption on my part but I think they did it this way because with all the vf.net stuff removed from the game they were able to put all the data into a ROM board which is cheaper than the GD-ROM format (ROM based kits are approx $2K US and GD-ROM based kits are approx $5K US, they include card readers as well as the GD-ROM drive).

What I'm trying to say is they a probably NA kits. Hopefully they'll be Japanese GD-ROM versions though, so you could concievably get the card system going.

Yeah its a naomi 2 with a ROM board in it. Thing is though that the owners seem to want to get a second Evo machine, which could conceivably be a GD-ROM version. We already have 1 VF4:Evo giant screen machine and 1 VF4 ver.B. They want to get rid of the ver.B soon. Here's hoping... BTW, the 2K price tag is correct.

3 of 5, stage select on, 60 second rounds ( !! ). They let the counters up on high cuz they knew we would be practicing the new moves and chars. We actually usually played for real only at the 5th round because we kept trying out new stuff. The lineup for play is long. Its been a few days now though, so we're ready to play ( at least I know I am with Wolf ).

    Awesome,

Sounds like a nice setup -- 60 second rounds are nice. We only have 30 second rounds. Maybe in the new year the TO gang can find it way over to Montreal for a weekend.

    cheers,
