Mortal Kombat Best Selling Fighting Game

I learnt something that's a bit of a shocker around two weeks ago. Mortal Kombat is the best selling fighting game of all time - above Super Smash Bros. That's Crazy why do you think that is? I laughed out loud when I saw this as your know mortal Kombat doesn't seem to have the most technical gameplay.

I got it here, actually a random Tekken YouTuber ,who dabbles on mortal Kombat, mentioned this fact. I had to verify for obvious reason by googling and I was immediately floored by this fact.

Lol! That doesn't surprise me too much. I mean it is Mortal Kombat we are talking about here. Despite the crazy combat, the game has a charm and style, that no other fighting game has. Big props to Ed Boon, John Tobias and their team, for the success of the MK franchise.

Personally I respect Netherrealm's success even though I wish they could have copied half-decent mechanics from any of the solid fighting games.

 

Nah, the wacky gameplay, is Midway/Nether Realm studios identity dude. That is what makes Mortal Kombat, welll,......Mortal Kombat. But yeah, MK could improve a bit
