    To Dragoncop...

Dragoncop, I was going to warn you of your behavior via private message but you had disabled Private Messages. Your recent bumping of old posts with irrelevant information is really getting on the nerves of many members. I don't know if Myke have taken any actions yet but it seems like you still haven't gotten the point. People are reacting to you for a reason, please take some time off and read more of the information presented on the forums and understand the reason why people are reacting to you the way they are.

Your posts not only make you look immature with the numerous spelling errors you make, but your inability to recognize useful information from heresy exposes your intellectual level to everyone who reads this board. People are usually very careful about what they post and double check their facts before they use it. If they give an opinion, you need to present your reasons to back it up, and the game manual is definitely not an acceptable source for people on this forum simply because many of us have better sources of information about this game. Your signature presents you as a beginner at this game, and your posts further proves that idea. So if you want to be taken seriously, you would do well to figure out why I just told you what I said.

    Re: To Dragoncop...

About a day after dragoncop's first bout of spam and one-liner revivals, I sent him a PM warning that he'll be banned if he did it again. Since that warning he hasn't spammed or revived old threads, but instead, only tried to defend himself from all the attacks and flames a lot of the regulars thought he deserved.

I can understand the frustration people felt with dragoncop, but how they reacted and responded to him only made the situation all the more worse. Had they just ignored him, he would have went away one way or another.

The mods here, and myself, do a lot of work behind the scenes. If you think we need help doing our "job", then maybe have a private word to one of us rather than try to take matters into your own hands.

Now I'm not saying we all need to be one big happy family, but if you can, take a moment to consider the poster you're about to flame. Maybe he/she is just a kid and not as mature as you. How would you respond to a teen who appears enthusiastic about a game you've devoted so much of your time, money, and life to? Should we all shun away a teen who has a very shallow understanding, and enjoyment, of the game, or should we maybe spend a minute or so trying to guide them in the right direction? I can also appreciate that we're not a charity and can only do so much to help someone.

A recent case that ocurred not too long ago with another poster, Tgood, who came on here in a similar fashion, but chose to ignore the warning I gave him and was subsequently banned.

If there are any other ideas on how best we should deal with such posters, then let's hear them.

Well I think we should give people the three strikes deal. If they start to become like Tgood and Dragoncop we first give them a message as you did in his post. Second time give them a stern warning. And finally the third time ban them.

But most importantly we have to keep our cool with new people as you said. However, some people don't seem to care much about this and I am referring to Painty_J. This goes back to Tgood, he was the first to start the mass flaming and as soon as Dragoncop posted he jumped right in and flamed again; almost as if he is enjoying this. I recall that a veteran VFDC member posted for him to stop flaming which leads me to believe that not all here on VFDC apreciate his antics and neither do I. I do not know whether he does this for enjoyment or to get attention, but he seemed to escalate this Dragoncop issue.

Dragoncop may post a shitolad, but that's not his problem. He's usually on topic and participates in discussion, but here is where lies the problem - he doesn't listen.

Countless times he is corrected and yet he still basks in his own ignorance. Now, THAT's annoying.

    Re: To Dragoncop...

I'm not claiming responsibility for the mass insulting of Tgood. you have history wrong there: several other people told him to knock it off before i did, and since he didnt get smart back I let it go at that. I've been on EV2 and Vanity's case for a while, but I left tgood pretty well much alone.

Dragoncop is different because he thought he should fire back when I said that the manual is full of crap. Reminder:[ QUOTE ]

Listen Painty-J, the same manual never says that Jacky is recommended for experienced players, they say hes more recommended for beginners. So if you actually take the time to unstick your head from your monitor and actually read the damn manual then you wouldn't have to be confused about certain characters or their moves, idiot.

How can I resist such tempting bait?

I know, I know, I was tempted myself. But I just took several deep breaths, punched the wall numerous times until my nuckles started turning a different color(j/k), and then calmly reminded myself that such posts will cause much laughter among others and that people will ignore and not take that person seriously. But you are right, that was a tempting post and I understand.
