Most Realistic Karate Moves???

Yikes! I've been sparring against Jean Kujo in special sparring session all morning, and a lot of his Karate moves look pretty damn legit. I think probably the most legit in comparison to the other 3D fighting games. But I could be biased

Comparing

• Jin Kazama (Tekken)

• Jean Kujo (Virtua Fighter)

• Ein (Hayate) (DOA)

I'm thinking VF's Jean Kujo has not only the most Karate moves and stances, but the most realistic in comparison to DOA's Karate and Tekken's Karate.

Am I correct, or is it just my VF bias showing through? Damn Jean Kujo's karate really looks FN good

Outside of the Karate found in the UFC games, Jean Kujo's Karate seems the most realistic in any 3d Fighter

Yeah Jean's karate looks really authentic.
But I have always wondered, what style of karate is that?
It looks like a mix of different Karate styles.

 

Yea, I've heard before that Jean has a mix of styles. But even so they look very legit.

Also it seems that with each release of VF, the new characters seemed to have more realistic moves. e.g. Brad, Goh, Jean look really good.

 

The new evil version of Jean (cuz you know EVERY karataka in a fg has to have a "evil version" Jin, Ryu, Takuma..etc) thats being released in a upcoming dlc patch.

 

Well you know VF has always been a sort of realistic based fg.

 

It's Kyokushin karate, according to Wikipedia. And the Kyokushin article on Wikipedia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WZY0UJ00SQ describes the style's various katas as coming from a variety of origins.

 

Wow, I wonder who AM2 had to do the mocap. Even the audio has a certain kind of authenticity
