Movement?

I still have VF5 in my game shelf, and have loved the series for many many years. But since I was quite young, I didn't understand the importance of technique / movement. Now that I come from a Tekken background, I'd love to get serious with the VF series.

I played Akira when VF5 first hit consoles, and I'd like to play him again once FS hits XBL.

So, what are my movement options? Anything character specific? Anything I can't practice on the console version? Notation would be much appreciated.
