Are there any moves that guarantee damage after One Inch Blow~Switch Back Blow Combo(/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif or/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif)? I personally do the leg slicer combo, because most of my opponents do not block or duck the second hit.

Well most most be online cause good players will usually do it and will pwn you for it lol. I like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif when it counter hits cause it's very easy to hit confirm.

In the case of the position throw nothing is guaranteed but you get a decent mix up between throw and mid, I'd go for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or throw.

Otherwise..... use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif cause that throw sucks (unless you are going for a ring out)

Would you prefer /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif over /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif?

Umm of course I would prefer /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif over /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif but that's the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif direction. Good players will try to break Jacky's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif direction the most, so /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif comes in handy there.

It's a great choice if your opponent isn't ducking, if they start to duck go back to Beat Knuckle and Mid options, other wise Spin away! lol

Or if you got the positioning and stage for it, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif for the wall throw.

And if you're fighting Shun, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif is -1 drink point.

    Every bit counts.

I appreciate your tips Dan, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk down to me.

This is one of those things where it's best to feel out your opponent first if possible. If they're passive and like to block, going for throw breaks. I find doing the damned throw again works lol. I like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif the most as far as throws go, but as Unsafe Dan said, it tends to be high on people's break list and does get broken often.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif can work really well I find thanks to its delay. It catches those who go for throw breaks (usually) and has enough delay to get some who were blocking to stop (and hopefully throw out a move to help you land that counter hit).

Lately I've been backdashing then doing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif for the same reason as above, but for that extra spacing.

The other moves mentioned here are all great too, and probably more textbook than what I recomended. Just trying to add some more options.

EDIT: Oh, a quick backdash /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif(Hitcheck)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif can be nasty too if you think they're gona mash out some quick attack.

Don't forget the tried and tested backdash > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif (to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif options); Jacky's elbow wins games.

EV2 i love that Quote man lol! You ain't never lie.

@Corey fearless: Just remeber after that throw keep you options open. Everything in VF5 is subject to change. Different strokes for different folks, Just because one person falls victim does'nt mean everybody else will. Sometimes i would'nt even use that throw unless im completely destroying my opponent. Its too weak and there's no big Frame advantage or none at all. The FF P+G throw is key cause of the distance it covers especially in crunch time.

I wish I could delete this thread, it's kind of embarassing... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif I made it a month and a half ago because I thought players were at advantage after positioning throws, I obviously learned they aren't. I've improved greatly over the days, but I appreciate everyone's input. I'm #1 in command time attack too, if anyone wants to see it on VF.TV! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif Add me if you want to spar.
