Movie stuff.

If you're wondering about the FTP, it's ready to come back up right after this post. Some quick info -

1. I have a few daioh movies that feixaq doesn't have yet, so if you got them all you might wanna check out:

2. Some random movie observations:
Shun's mule kick --> f+P+K combo isn't as hot as I thought it was. Aoi QR'd and jabbed shun while he was drinking, and apparently punching shun while he's drinking sends him airborne. She could have done PPPK, but the aoi player may have been surprised that the P hit. An alternative seems to be to do the b,f+P,P,K (drunken punches into hip check). I also like Shun's dodge back (dunno the new motion, used to be u/b+E) into backhanded swipe. The swipe nets some nice floats. Then there's the one-legged stance into whirling swipe (looks like shun's old b+P). Turns the opponent around.

Kage TFT combo: TFT, knee, P, swipe-KG, low punch, kickflip. It probably was posted before and I failed to catch it. Nice looking.
The kage player (not kyasao - his name is Retirement Kage for those who wanna know) uses b,b+K+G, head pounce. Dunno if it's guaranteed or not but it seems more damaging than the alternatives. I also noticed that you can delay d+P+K, K, which makes throwing out lots of d+P+K more possible. He uses f,f+K (G-cancel) to approach knocked down opponents. Depending on the timing of G he either ends up facing forward for typical kage flowcharts or does a quick TT sweep and sets it up again.

Wolf f+K+G (stagger), b+P+G (stumble), f+K+G (stagger)... laff. That's wrong.
Also wrong: charge an unblockable as they get up, stagger, d/b+P, stagger, twirl.
Jeff's stance hit-throw is hilarious. Jeff can kill with two knee combos: knee, P, headbutt, stomp or vs. lights knee, P, KKP. A nice jeff sequence: stance, K (MC's for crumple), knee, quick f,f+P hits them while they're backturned and TR'ing. The end up floating and another hit such as d/f+K+G connects. Lotsa good wolf/jeff stuff on the clips.

Aoi: it looks like she does an inashi reversal against vanessa's low kick and leaves the opponent backturned, which she follows with a back throw. The aoi in these movies is reversal crazy and entertaining to watch.

I'll cut this short. These movies are all worth a look, although some of them are just one round and that annoys me. Get the daioh wmv's first... lots of matches.
Also some new costume items/colors. Bunny Ears Sarah does the 324981321091 kick throw on one of the flicks. In the same flick, which is a somewhat grainy wmv, I think I'm seeing vanessa with jada pinkett (i.e. short and blonde) hair.

 

durrr, re: the aoi reversal... aoi just dodges the low kick. Thanks myke.

Ah thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure which Kage that was. bbK+G, u+P is guaranteed, btw.

Yeah I noticed he used d+P+K as a poke move. Pretty interesting. You can do it from a crouch too, which makes it doubly useful.

I don't think it's the timing of G after ff+K, G-cancelling the sweep always turns you around, but he might have pressed G twice to turn back to face the opponent? (I think... not sure...)

I like Sarah in the white outfit, btw (minus the floppy bunny ears).

This is just f+PPK. b,f+P will give you Shun's quick straight punches. I love the way you have to wait in order for this to connect though...

It's f+K+G, b+P. The Elbow Drop pops em back up after they fall on their ass from the f+K+G. It's a really beautiful setup and should be part of every Wolf's repertoir. Usually followed by Twirl or KS but people start to get out of those (they're both f+P+G reversals..arg) decently. Changing it up to another f+K+G is sweet - keep it going! This whole sequence can be started as well with FC,f+P.

Llany, thanks for the corrections. I'm afraid my liverspotted hands spaz on they keyboard and I end up doing that a lot (b+P+G rather than b+P). I can't type the word virtual anymore either, and words like kneel and upward turn to knee and upper.

 

You guys watch the new Kyasao clips? Wow...

 

Nice 3rd round. Good G-cancelling too. Love the sword hand cutting combo, wheel kick. Good grab setups aswell. Notice Kyasao's points went up but his win percentage went down? I wanna see the videos of the guys who beat him.
