Namco question

I believe I read in one of the threads that Namco has fired a large part of the staff was fired and replaced? Anybody have a url for that?

 

That was sorta a joke SD. Someone said that Namco fired everyone for the crappy release of Tekken 4. Namco is currently hiring new people from testers to development people. I think mostly around the San Jose area last I heard.

 

San Jose Area? Testers? Namco of Japan's website clearly states they are hiring new development staff in japan, not testers in the US for Tekken 5.

I thought he was speaking in reference to US job market. Last I heard the San Jose facilities was looking for mainly testers, but had other openings. Didn't know that Japan was looking for more. Very strange indeed. I doubt they fired many if any though. Probably just looking for a fresh angle on the game.

 

Many of the Japanese developers are hiring, including Namco, Square-Enix, and I believe Capcom. I think there's just a bit of a deficit in staff in general, rather than some epidemic at Namco in particular.
