I'd take out Eternal Champions and replace them with Shenmue characters.

I would buy a Tekken vs Virtua Fighter game sans voir. We're talking no brainer land here.

that would actually be even better... i liked that system... the combo systems could relatively be the same (both have a "bound-esque" system, stun combos, throw combos, etc...)

"groove" system is one of the better ideas Ive heard so far.. Maybe there could even be different input grooves..

Only one groove would get used seriously due to balance though.

As for the Cast, my idea for the 19 chars from the Tekken Side

    Jin
    Paul
    Nina
    Yoshimitsu
    Julia
    Steve
    Christie
    Bryan
    Lee
    Law
    King
    Marduk
    Xiaoyu
    Christie
    Kazuya
    Lei
    Hwaorang
    Asuka
    Raven

Duraled Heihachi would be the boss.

Even if so, then people could choose how they control their character and so on. Game designers wouldnt have to make the decision by themselves. Even if 2 out of 3 grooves would be shit, then there would be at least be one to play with.

So how about a <u>tag game</u> where each team is comprised of one tekken and one VF character? Keeping the original contol for each character would help players get familiar with both games. Plus there would be insane character-switch combos like in tekken tag /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

never played tekken tag, but this sounds cool. It kinda goes the direction that i would hope it would go. Don't try and one up vf5 or tekken, but make a game that is fun to play. That way i can have fun, rather than have to be disappointed that it doesnt measure up.

I like this idea too. Mainly b/c anybody who wanted to be a monster with this set up would be forced to dive into the game they are less familiar. So take me for instance, sure i'd be effective with lei fei, but then i'd have to tag in my tekken character and BOOM i'd be a super scrub. So vf'ers would have to focus on tekken and tekkers would have to focus on vf--this would be a cool dynamic.

Jacky/Lee Chaolan would be a better match up.

When I first saw Dragunov, I thought that his stance looked similar to Lion's. I don't think that they fight the same way though. I can't really think of a Tekken equivalent to Lion.

it will be even nicer if they let tekken retain the 4 button system and let vf retain the traditional 3 button system, then it will be truly a good match that i can't wait to play

I have never played Tekken: Dark Ressurection. I had no idea, for Lion.

Maybe there will be new/special system: Left Punch, Right Punch, Left Kick, Right Kick, Guard - 5 buttons. VF's Guard button & Left/Right Punch/Kick from Tekken /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Tekken does not really have an equivalent for:

    Lion
    Eileen
    Shun Di
    Goh
    Lei Fei
    El Blaze

Dragunov's style is listed as Sambo Wrestling. Lion does a rendition of Praying Mantis Kungfu

What about crossed storylines in Story Mode? Jin Kazama meets Akira Yuki in his Kung Fu Dojo... Ling Xiaoyu went shopping with Pai Chan... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
