Name Change

Could one of the administrators change the name of the match making thread to something different like VF Community. Match Making just sounds like your trying to find yur signifficant other, and considering that most of the people here are guys that just doesn't sound right.

How about "Challenge finder" or "... seeker" ?
or "New challenger quest mode" (a bit too much probably )

Or maybe "Nerd radar, gotta catch'em all", or "A thread formerly known as Match making", how about that? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

How about "Meets and Gatherings"? The description would have to be edited a bit then, I guess.

 

I vote for calling it "Let's Fight!"

 

Local Gatherings.

 

Gatherings should actually go under "Events". Why not join those two? Most people post in wrong forums anyway or double their posts.

 

So I started this thread to hopefully change the name of where we find opponents. I remember the first time that my friend told me about it and it sounded weird, then my dad saw it and didn't quite sound right to him, and then I think to myself if I tell someone about match making will they think it weird. Of all the suggestions that have been given so far I think VERSUS CITY sounds the best its really catchy and I think it will bring in the players. I know its an old thread name but it just sounds right. If there are any other suggestions lets brainstorm, who knows maybe something will sound more catchy.

Here's one vote to change the forum named "Match Making" into something more catchy like "Hot Gay Sex". That way no one would get confused.

 

Oh, my bad - I confused the forum with "Tournaments and Events" and "Tournament Results" forums; I actually meant combining THESE two.

As for the new name for Match Making, I'd say out of all you wrote "Versus City" seems best, it's the most neutral and the "versus" in the name says it all.
