No big surprises in game 1 -- Duncan is the most consistent player in the game and Parker broke Hughes' ankles pretty consistently.

LeBron looked shakey, but I guess that's to be expected when you're 22 and the weight of the media world is on your shoulders. I think he'll bounce back later in the series, like he did against Detroit. The Cavs need to fire Mike Brown (who is utterly outmatched against Popovich and almost every other coach in the league) and surround LeBron with something better than Eric Snow, salary vacuum Zydrunas, and an underachieving Gooden. In a couple years maybe...I'm cool with Boobie though!

The real question is will Cavs even win a game? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif F THE SPURS!

Even Tim Duncan's mom is rooting for the Cavs.

    random nba thoughts:

*Steven A. Smith is the biggest clown in the world. The way he talks ebonics on espn is pathetic.

*why is Richard Hamilton still wearing a protective mask? Isn't it for cheek bone breaks/dislocations?

    *headbands are ugly.

Richard Hamilton still wears the mask due to an unfortunate case with his nose. From what I know, it's been broken twice (3?), and due to the way the cartilage has been affected (removed?), if it breaks one more time, he'll basically be F-ed permanately and likely won't be able to play pro ball anymore.

So long story short, he doesn't HAVE to wear it, but to not wear it would be to put his NBA career at risk!

ah ha. Thanks for that explanation. I always thought something was wrong with him. It sure hasn't messed up his game though.
