Neutral Throw "priority" over the others throws

Hi, first i'm a new in Virtua Fighter 5 series.
I'm playing Eileen and i notice when i try to do a forward throw sometimes i get a neutral throw.
After several try i figured out that if i hold forward too long, the game "forget" i hold forward and give me a neutral throw when i input P+G

How much i can hold forward and still use the forward throw ?

With the help of the training mode it's look like if i hold forward during 9 frames before inputing P+G i get a neutral throw.

If i hold forward during 7 frames before inputing P+G i get the forward throw.

I didn't manage to hold 8 frames for now so i don't know.

What is the point of this ?

9 frames is "short" in my opinion so it's why i choose to say neutral throw have priority over the others throw

If you don't pay attention you can end up doing a neutral throw when you try to do everything except this

    Hello, Cnul.

Thanks for sharing your data, but I'm not quite sure what your dilemma is.

What is the point in allowing only ~7 frames for a direction held forward to be counted towards a forward throw command? Maybe it's just an arbitrary number. Or maybe having a low number of frames prevents players from accidentally holding a direction. A player might try dashing in for a neutral throw, but then fail to return the lever to neutral in time before pressing [P][+][G]. As a result, he would dash in with a forward throw by accident.

In any case, the solution to your problem can be overcome with practice. I rarely end up with the wrong throw registering when I play.

    Hi Libertine
I play on a stick and i notice when i input a direction most of the time i hold 6~8 frames.
It's not that i hold it on purpose but i have the bad habit to want to go "full" up before letting the stick go and with the input display when i do that i see 7~8.

In fact my first problem with that is for Defensive moves but i will make a new thread.

I just wanted to aware people about that for throw too

I'm not sure if "priority" is the best word to use. It sounds to me that you are pressing forward for 7 frames or so and it is just being registered as holding [6_] rather than tapping [6]. In other words your execution is being registered as [6_][P][+][G] rather than [6][P][+][G]. The latter being the correct execution for a forward throw.

Yes that's that but since usually in fighting games i played holding a direction doesn't lead to neutral i choose to use the term "priority" (and for the title it was better ^^). Example you can holding forward in street fighter to do an overhead with ryu or backward to do back throw
