New at Club Sega Akihabara

These were just installed at each machine this week as they definitely werent there last week. I'd like to think that its for plugging in your own controller but its probably for charging your phone.

 

Can anyone test?

 

My brother was there 2 days ago (he took the picture) but wasn't able to confirm what they're actually for. Unfortunately he's heading home today. Hopefully someone else can find out otherwise I believe my brother is going back for EVO japan so he can see what happens if he plugs in a playstation controller. I really doubt thats what its for but one can dream.

If you look in close at the top left it says ic and along side it many types that are acceptable.

It seems ic card now is for almost everything in japan. Just charge it at local 7-11 and buses, trains, vending machines, and now video games.
