I've been using Pai basically since the first hour I got the game, and she is pretty good. But she just isn;t strong enough, most of her attacks are rather weak and predictable. So could someone suggest an easy character to learn with not a lot of advanced button combos? I was thinking about Kage...would he be a good choice? or someone else? well just try to help.....thank you

I've stuck to my Pai and I like my low dammage attacks /versus/images/icons/smile.gif, but if you really like a style like Pai you should check out Lau. Hes still very different but if you really like the Pai style and you want more dammaging attacks you should check him out.

Okay so if I want the same basic startegy but with more strength I should pick up, Lau? Alright... sounds like a plan. But what about a character that fights differently from those two?

I'd have to say just about any other character. Every character is good. I prefer to just use one character and stick with it. I use Pai, knowing baisic moves for other chars is good too though. Just pick every character and find one you like and stick I say.

Nemesis02, there is a thread on this page asking the same question that you are asking. Or a similar question anyway.

Have you tried looking on the VF4 home page? It might help.

Yeah i checked that out, thanks anyways...I didn;t read it vividly though, I will take a more in-depth look at it. Thanks.

(EDIT- Yeah that wasn;t too much of a help.. but it did let me know a couple things)

Pai is probably the strongest character in Ver. C -- she's got SUCH a quick recovery time. I hate that whore!

Lau. Sort of like pai on crack.
Everything does more damage.
Float combos are easier to come by.
You get a proper elbow.
Everything's safer.
Throws are better.

winning with Lau is very, very easy, and you'll be right at home since a lot of his attacks and canned combos are identical to pai's.

Alright. Thanks, I will give Lau a try as soon as I beat Kumite mode with Pai(pretty easy....if they'd ever let me fight other 2nd dan opponents)
