New divx player 2.0 supports wmv9 and asf files.

    This is probably of interest only to true media junkies, but The Player will play damn any avi (including incomplete/broken ones) as well as .ASF format. It refuses to play .wmv, but if you rename the .wmv to .asf, it will be happy to play it. I've confirmed it for asf's and wmv's in the WMV9 format.

    Unfortunately it can not play the recent "jamshow_512k.asf" file, the 800 MB one ragnafrak saved. It doesn't choke on it, nothing happens though. I believe this is because the jamshow file is unindexed and live.
    I guess it doesn't matter since most people can watch it by now.
