great i'll will be there get money for pizza ready. so i was playing some tekken 6 player matches online i could just watch helplessly and hopelessly the endless barrage of attacks. i ended up playing 40 matches and won only 2 times im just surprised my starting vf5 record on rank was 65 loses 0wins

Thanks to NE for flooding my house. I used to feel Alisa was broke until I learned how to fight her. There's too much to learn in Tekken lol. Yohan Leo's u/f1,2 is crazy for punishment. I keep walking into your stringy kicks cuz i assume its my turn

ggs today cozby in offline vf5 and tekken 6, So i got back home put on tekken some more i tried practice then online player matches shit the tekken fighting philosophy of endless mashing and baiting whiffs and everything else feel so damn #$$%ing safe. im just gonna retire tekken 6 and let it collect dust

Hey y'all. So after a lengthy break from fighting games, I've started getting back into VF 5. For the past few months, I've been able to get some games in at Ultimate Gaming Spot out in Dedham, MA. In addition to myself, there are about two other VF players who are regulars, and we're always looking for more people! If you've got the means to come out, it's held in a Metro PCS store Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 521 Providence Highway starting at 7 pm. I'll be attending a tournament there tomorrow starting at 2 (I think. No VF unfortunately), but we could certainly get some casuals in if you're interested!

I've met him and played him in KOF a couple times, but I haven't played him in VF yet. I've mostly been playing with Tae and Greg (Gill Hustle), but they started playing SF x T, so it's kind of slowed down a bit. They said that they're going to pick it back up when FS drops though. If you're able to come out, I'd love to get in some matches!

how often are people actually present playing VF at UGS?

from what a friend told me, a couple weeks ago, he was there on a thursday to meet up the MA tekken players, but reported that they were pretty much the only ones there. maybe about 5-6 people.

i live relatively close, but still do not want to make the effort to drive down if it's generally a low turnout, especially when VF itself usually doesn't draw many participants.

I usually go every Saturday and I'm always playing it, but I'd say I'm the only VF regular there. More people were playing before SFxT and will probably go back to it when FS comes out, but until then it's kinda thin. I'm trying to get more people to come out though, so we'll see. I met a couple of other VF players there last Saturday, but I don't know if they'll be coming out this weekend. It's tough to convince people to come out to Dedham haha. Do you usually play with the Brain Box guys? Are they playing over there at all?

If I'm not at GU, nobody's gonna mention VF lol. I haven't been to UGS yet. Overall, FS is gonna be the only motivation for most people to think about VF. BUT if I do plan on making it out to UGS (or even GU) with a VF setup I'll let people know in advance!

hey Coz,
i probably won't be making it down to Fall River sessions for VF, simply 'cause i'm too lazy to drive that far for what's probably gonna end up being a small turnout for something like VF.

likewise, i'm sure you don't wanna travel to UGS for the same reason.
i checked out UGS last week, and although it is a great venue for gatherings, there wasn't a huge turnout as i expected for that night and no one except dr.teeth really play VF.
i don't feel like paying the $5 fee just to play a game i've already paid twice for. don't get me wrong though. Greg (gill hustle) from UGS was very welcoming and really cool. we had a really fun DOA5 demo session and some nice talks about the scene and games within.
anyway, that's pretty much the same reason i don't really go to GU anymore. they play everything, but VF, and again, i don't wanna pay $5 every time for something i already have.
i know i may sound cheap, but it is the truth and it adds up.

get ready for FS though, Cozby. i plan to have a major gathering at some point soon (but not too soon) after it's release.
i'm going to rent a hotel, possibly at Foxwoods, and invite the VFers i'm personally close to, to join us.
if the game is released in time, i plan to do this on the weekend of Evolution 2012 so that we can watch the stream and loiter in the casinos when we're not engaged in VF5:FS.

players i plan to ask include frank the tank (you may have met him at GU), hyun, and our friend Kang from NJ. it will be sick!

...and you should've been at PAX to play with us!

Frank really helped me learn matchups in Tekken. I went with him to one of the NEC's too, really smart guy. Never met Hyun (yet) or Kang. I WOULD'VE went to PAX but I couldn't get a 3-day pass.

Really though, we will be ON when FS comes. I wanna play that game SOOO bad... just to mess around with the characters.

Since we sort of feel the same way about driving long distances and having to pay money for such a small turnout, why don't we just have a get together ourselves? Get some pizza and beer or whatever and just get some games in?
