I got jacked w/ the combo again. I was using Lion. He started it before I hit the ground during my +. I don't know if that's counted as a counter hit or not, as I was almost done w/ the kick, and almost on the ground. Seemed to float me a bit higher. But still -- half the bar gone?

Wow -- that's a good Shun player. The Lau is ViagLau, who you can see in a lot of tournaments. He does a good job of using the new moves. He tried Shun's new Inashi which requires 10 drinks, but it didn't hit.

yeah the shun was fantastic, a strongly recommended DL even if people don't play shun. His defensive skills are mindboggling. I'd have hoped for a higher percentage, but then maybe he's fucking around with new moves and whatnot.

Can you tell if lau's new three part combo has any requirements that allow all three parts to combo? Because it slams, it's pretty strong. I'd hate to think 3part --> P,b+P,P is a true combo, even with MC.

 

A quick way to keep track of new clips...

Besides this board, TBzone keeps very good tabs on new evo clips and has provided a link or two that I hadn't found before (or yet). Just go to www.tbzone.co.kr/vf4/ and on the right are the korean posts... with enough english in the topics to make it easy... i.e. [VF4-E [MOVIE] something something SHUN vs LAU something].

Their regular movie DL page is not updated, so don't bother with that...

I got the 3rd and 4th shun clips, the urls are up for them now in baiagu, but daioh seemed to grab them early. Also a link to temuzin-nyokiaki.WMV which I had missed.

Hate to burst your bubble CreeD, but there is a follow up to that damn combo. Not sure if it's on mc, MC, mC, or Mc. You know the follow up to where he punches, and spins around with a double opened palm attack? That one hits in some cases. Of course, once you learn the timing, Aoi can reverse it -- everyone else, watch out!

Also - did anyone catch Shun's new inashi? It's at the end of one of the clips... forgot which. One of them he tries, but misses. The other clip, it connects. One would hope for a better follow up, but what're ya gonna do. It's Shun.

eheh yeah I know what you mean. What you call is probably , which is generally followed with b,f+P, then the combo you described (P,b+P,P... jab, upknife, spin-to-double palm)

That's what I was thinking for the new three part -->

six hits in all
I just hope at least the first hit is at least a MC requirement.

Everyone I've talked to is calling it an inashi, but it's technically a reversal. However, it's a bit different. It's normal punch, plain and simple, but if it doesn't inashi, but hits, it'll crumble. Recovery kind of sucks, so there's no massive follow up. If you time it right, and catch a high/mid punch/elbow, then it's more of a reversal. Very good against Lau.

EVO Chibita

The latest Daioh clip features Chibita against an Akira player. Good action. Chibita pulls off two new Lion throws, which look nice but not too damaging. The Akira player wins the first two rounds, Chibita wins the next two (with excellent wins), and comes back to win the final round. Chibita has 1500 wins already. Impressive. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Chibita's Lion has on a knee brace, which I think is a nice touch.

Also, all those little flash movies on am2's site showcase new moves for each character. I made 'em into avi's and people can get them from me via irc for now.
Also lots of new images... the scans from that magazine, the new stage pics and character moves from am2, etc..
