    In Japan, I saw unknown shun players with 13+ drink points after round one. That one shun player who has blonde hair and is considered better than Shu beat me and he ended up with 40 drink points after round 5! hahahhha

    a) It still really hurts his game..shun has been a low ranked character, his drinks being one of his primairy ways of leveling the field
    b) it is rediculous to judge shun based on teh best shun player in japan...you, me, and almost everybody we will play against/know will not be at his level. Sega has done things to characters before that have really been downgrading...so I am NOT counting on them to do everything 50/50.

    Well, I don't think so... Drinks are Shun's primary weapon, and if Shun players hear that is getting nerfed then they have a right to be upset... Sure they don't know what possible improvements they might make to him - but they do know that Shun, who is already considered a weaker character, is getting even weaker by this change...

    Some new Vanessa thingies:

    Defensive stance:

    [4][6]+[P]+[K] - New move. On counter, [6]+[P][3]+[K] guarunteed?
    [P][P][P]+[K]+[G] - [P][P] then switch to Offensive stance.
    [6]+[P][K][P]+[K]+[G] - [6]+[P][K] then switch to Offensive stance.
    [P]+[K][P]+[K]+[G] - Yeah you get the idea.
    [6]+[P][K] - The [K] only floats with RC.

    Offensive stance:

    [P][P][P]+[K]+[G] - Guess what this does?
    [6]+[P][P][P]+[K]+[G] - Oh man I didn't see that coming.
    [P]+[K][P]+[K]+[G] - Once again.
    [2]+[K][P][P]+[K]+[G] - Yeap.
    [6]+[K][K][P][P]+[K]+[G] - Yeah.
    [3]+[K][P]+[K]+[G] - Haha I think I see a pattern emerging.

    WOLF NEWS CUMBLAST EXPLOSION

    New moves:

    [6][3][2][1][4]+[P]+[K][P]+[G] - Ogre Slash hit throw. Does about 70-75 damage.
    [4][3]+[P] - Rolling elbow (Arrow Kuckle Real is gone). [4][3]+[P]->PGS is a combo somehow. Dunno what type of hit is needed, etc.
    [8][6][2][4]+[P]+[G] - F5. Does about 75 damage.
    [1][6]+[P][P][P] - Elbow Rush. 14 frame, high. Guarunteed on mc, about 50 damage.
    [4]+[K] - Generic mid kick, ~17-18 frame exe.

    Move changes:
    [3]+[P]+[G] - Animation change. You can follow up with [4][6]+[K]+[G] for about 50 damage.
    [3][3]+[P]+[G] - Animation change. He walks back a little bit.
    [6][3][2][1][4]+[P]+[G] - Damage up to about 75-80.
    Change->[4]+[P]+[G] (Double German) - Animation change to Vertical Falling Backdrop.
    [9]+[P][6]+[P]+[G] - Animation change, leaves them standing.
    [4]+[K]+[G][P]+[G] - Animation change.
    While running, [P]+[K]+[G] - Animation change.
    [P]+[G] sidethrow - Animation change, Exploder.
    [4][6] or [6][4]+[P]+[G] - Animation change.
    [2]+[P]+[K][6]+[P]+[G] (Shining Wizard) - Animation change.

    [2_][3]+[P] does not float on MC anymore
    [2_][3]+[P][P]+[K] not guarunteed on mc anymore, must be MC
    [2_][3]+[P][6]+[P] new move that is guarunteed on mc

    upkn will still float on red counter though. Red counter is when you interrupt a move other than lp or p(which, if interrupted, give you yellow counter).

    Nifty system refinement, if you ask me.

    I had to actually check to see if that was what I wrote. I was actually getting ready to eat when I wrote the first one, so wouldn't that have been great if I had suggested that I wanted to eat Lau Chan's testicles? You are very tricksy, Sanjuro.

    I don't know how much I like the idea of red/yellow counter. It seems to encourage conservative move choices. I mean, has anyone really said, "The problem with VF is that there just isn't enough cock-punching. How can we encourage more of it?"

    I'm not sure about this. I think it just puts another layer into the guessing games that occur. Your opposite nitaku is still going to be your biggest risk/reward choice & still a strong one assuming you get RC vs throw attempts(this hasn't been made 100% clear & is still a question for me...anyone?)...only now there will be a risk distinction between going big at a large disadvantage & going small at a large disadvantage.

    If you'd like to attack at a large disadvantage but don't want the RC risk, you can try p/lp and get YC'd if you guess wrong. If they tried throw or delay/slow move (that doesn't move around your p/lp) you RC them as you would have with the bigger move but you don't get the amazing disappearing lifebar.

    And then of course, when a p/lp is "encouraged" in a given situation then using moves designed to crush them are likewise encouraged. I'm sure [3][P]+[K] will be working pretty much the same in FT for you. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    edit: And then of course there's the added response layer of RC...presumably ideal followups/reasonable flows will differ all over the place for mC, YC, RC. Considering I suck at evo, looks like I'm really gonna suck at FT. I can't wait!
