new japanese home version of vf3tb..

    A new version of Virtua Fighter 3 Team Battle is
    expected to hit Asia. Similar to Sonic International, it will
    include a series of improvements. The new version is
    expected to come with a VS. battle mode, as well as
    technical fixes for bugs and other problems which slipped
    through on the original Japanese release.

    i think this will be the same US version.

    Hmmm, I'm not sure about this--I definitely have my doubts. The Internet mode in Sonic Adventures was a pretty big addition to the game, but the VS mode, improved Training mode, and fixes in shadows are by no means valid justification for a rerelease.
