    hey All

I'm a new player , but I'm getting there. I was playing a Lei guy online a few times in a row . I could tell he didnt have much of a clue, like me, but was coming at me with constant forward attacks. Every time I broke his flow he went to peices and I opened him up, but I couldnt do it enough to win . I just couldnt find the right time to counter in his forward chain .
Whats lions best way to turn around a relentless attacker ?

Against LeiFei you've got to know the moves that gives him advantage on block so that you don't attack when you shouldn't (see movelist on this very site for that).
Most online LeiFei use the same tactics, try to evade a close flow of attacks and imediately follow with 3PP-->combo. (good example is dodging the last P of Lei's PPP).
Being able to struggle out of the d+K stagger of doom helps a lot too.
Try a few 1PP when you want too break his flow, then back dash to give you some air.
These are very general advices, if you want some better may be you should identify the attacks that give you pbms so we can help you with more specific tactics.

The following is written for beginners...

Against beginner Lei Fei players, you'll have plenty of opportunity to use low kick because of bad habits using PPP and what not.

In the longrun though, this low kick abuse can nurture an awfully bad habit for your Lion because Lion's low kicks are extremely punishable. In fact, advice against beginning Lion players online is to just block the low attack and punish right away.

Ultimately, it's better to work on using basic pokes (low punch, elbow, high punch, knee), defending, and finding those moments when you're safe to counterattack (attack after blocking) Lei Fei. It's tricky at first, without looking at the frame stats, but not all of Lei Fei's attacks give him a neutral or advantageous situation upon block.

If you're blocking a long sequence and it pushes you away from Lei Fei, sometimes a decent answer is to simply create more space and encourage him to whiff if he attacks too much.

Before long, you'll be comfortable using appropriate pokes between Lei Fei's sequences and even evading them. In fact, because of the long animation on a lot of Lei Fei's moves and strings, many of his attacks are pretty easy to evade on sight.

Controlling space also helps and encourages an aggressive Lei Fei to whiff. If you know he's going to whiff, you should be able to combo him no problem.
