Please let's see Lei-Fei at TGS. I can't wait to see how RGG interprets his style. These animations are so promising .

The pixels flying off the characters look cool though. Like they're in some cyber universe.

Part of me has wondered if the setting of Virtua Quest in a digital world in the future is connected with vf6

looks more like a new counter hit system, where akira hits sarah’s head two times with high attacks & stunts her.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly. I hope there's no meter and such but we don't know the full game yet.

I assumed he was simply blocking a string. We're expecting blocks to look more bespoke, after all. Strings are predictable, and players typically are holding guard down when blocking them. This means each move of the string a player inputs can trigger a corresponding defensive animation. I expected this to just be how the game looks. A key feature of its style. The blue could be nothing more than aesthetic.

It looks like Akira is doing something like 33P, but he can't send Stella up in the air to juggle her. That's will be interesting If that is the case.

Anyway, I'm almost sure that the new VF will have some kind of super meters (blue blocks and red attacks are pointing at that direction), but I don't mind because RGG will find a way to implemented them to the fighting system without upsetting the old VFers.

If they do add a meter it would be cool if they allowed you to select an offensive option (Guard breaks, Higher damage throws) or defensive option (Parry option). Something like that might work.

A few things I've gleaned of this.

      - The characters look phenomenal except Akira looks a bit too young and Stella's boots are merged into her body suit.
      - Akira seems to have some sort of a cumulative mechanic, maybe for hitting highs. Also it looked like he can do PK into Teirou Kanpo now and it has a GB. Sure looked like that stance.
      - Stella's hits on block cause blue sparks but Akira's don't. Perhaps that is her unique mechanic where blocking too much is detrimental.
      - No flamingo shown but the backsway thing could be reworked back slide.
      - The stage clearly has a change for ring outs.
      - Akira whiffs a throw but when Stella does something resembling a throw there's no grab animation.
      - Before the end we can see a successful evade.
      - The triple replay could be a new version of super replay.
      - The combos we see in the trailer are stuns into stuns but we do see Stella do 3P+K launch at the start.
      - The lack of music or voice actors feels a bit jarring.

Also both characters are standing with either of their legs forward or back so open and closed stances are likely still in

Yamada is asking feedback from that teaser on X/Twitter. So if you use that social media site, you can reply to him there!

I am guessing providing feedback on their official discord is also a way for him to received it.

Ok so what I got out of this is that it kinda reminds me of the Jin vs Kazuya Tekken 8 debut trailer, where as there was some tweaks to the gameplay and they emphasized on the muscles flexing on impact and such.

The zoom ins, the slow downs, all look like fluff, not necessarily in-game if you see where I'm getting at. The end of the match dramatic cut is most likely the one slow down that would stay..

I feel like Stella's sweep slow-mo was for show. Um I don't mind it, I get how it can disrupt gameplay if it happens frequent but I'm also indifferent to it as well.

The step-back evade Stella does for the palm strike, I love that. Same thing applies could it be for show of the trailer? Not mad at it.

The gameplay is exactly what I wanted, they kept it looking "Virtua Fighter" they made them look realistic. All I had to do was play Black Moon Cat in the background, imagine the stage to be active and lively and I automatically got hype asf..That's the feeling I yearn for..

I honestly can do without the tooth flying out the mouth I get it its cool....but eh..:ROTFL:

      Definitely going to do this

One of the more interesting things about this trailer is seemingly lingering red visual effect that Akira puts on Sa... Stella, starting from what looks like PK punish. The effect lingers on her head seemingly multiple seconds even if she is not stunned (she is blocking). Akira follows with what could be a guard break into a combo.

I wonder if this implies some form of stun meter thingy, or if its something unique to Akira. At first I thought its something akin to Jean 66P hit effect that just has a visual; but this lasts for multiple attacks.

I think Stella is Dural 6.0, so that red effect seen on Stella is just specific for her…but who knows! Maybe at TGS.

I got into VF with the steam drop after mashing years earlier as a kid. I’m soooo excited for this new game. It looks amazing!

Plus, Akira on the same video is free of this effect, so +1 to stella specifc dural/cyborg/trenning-puppet theory

I am not happy that Stella never enters flamingo, as Sarah without Flamingo is much more boring. Not even in the end when she does 3PK.
