    Any more information about this guide would be appreciated. What's the technical level of it? Maybe Zero-chan can comment on that as well /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

    Catch22, or anyone, you got an ISBN no. handy?

    I'm trying to find out more information on this guide, particularly if it has real frame data.

    Thanks for the info Catch22! I was trying to search on 'baacha' and kept coming up blank /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    Anyway, I looked around on Softbank's website (http://store.sbpnet.jp/), and found some further details. Here's the direct link to the VF4 Evolution Complete Guide.

    Should have been released today, April 15. Contains 304 pages. The blurb mentions it has complete Item information (conditions for obtaining, etc). It also covers combos, quest mode and training mode. While it doesn't explicitly mention frame data, it does say this volume contains all the data one needs in order to become a strong player! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Things that make ya go hmmmm.....

    Thanks for the reply Zero. Kinda disappointing, but oh well...

    How does this book compare to the Evo Perfect Guide?

    Probably has more and updated info for the console version / ver B. Besides that, I don't see this guide been vastly superior to the perfect guide.

    Just thought I'd share a few words from a friend on the Evo Complete Guide. Think I'll be giving this one a miss.

    [ QUOTE ]

    Yup I've heard of the new VF book called 'VF4 Evo Complete Guide for PS2' released on the 14th of this month. And just then, I've checked some comments of buyers of this book. As for the frame data, most of them look unsatisfactory because the book says the actual numbers of frame data for the gap of each moves, but it's only up to 8 frames. For the gap more than 8 frames, they only say 'throw counterble', 'middle P' or 'elbow counterbale'. The advantage frames are said with actual numbers.

    Besides, things lacked on this book are;
    frame data for occurrence of each moves,
    which Sabaki moves are able to parry which moves,
    effective frame data for reverse moves and parry,
    and so on. People say SEGA still regulate the frame data not to be out yet.

    However things good about this guide book are;
    how to get items on PS2 version,
    giving actual examples in the training mode which are useful to practice (e.g. hit checking practice on Wolf's RAW).

    So it seems not to be worth its price for people other than beginners. And they also say they'd better wait for book with all the frame data which will be out before very long.

    I have this book, and can read pretty good Japanese, so if anybody has questions fire away. Also, could someone post a link to the 1/60 site, I've heard it mentioned often but am yet to find a link (sorry if this is OT)
