Those tests really don't measure much besides your ability to take that test. I'll admit - the Level 2 has some decent stuff on it, that is somewhat re-usable, although it's WAAAAY more challenging than the Level 3.

Level 1 is a fucking joke. I couldn't believe the shit that was on there. I showed my Japanese friends and they laughed. They're like, "you'll NEVER use this shit." /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    Cost 6000 gold.

2 [P]+[G]+[6] - Does a breakdancing move and says-"why dont you sleep on it"
    Cost 6000 gold

3[P]+[G]+[2]-Another breakdancing move, kicks the svreen and says -"can you keep up with my speed?!"
    Cost 3000 gold

4[P]+[G]+[4]-same as number three but from differend angle.pretty shit really.
    Cost 3000

also he has old winning poses

1 [P]+[K]-says i have no mercy on the elderly.

Hehe... yeah, I could go for that I suppose.
Mine tends to slip though. I don't speak as much as I used to. I can't write (by hand) much of anyhing anymore, but apparantly some Japanese people have this problem as well. Why bother when the computer does it for you. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

That would be really cool if you do. Maybe other people on this board that speaks Japanese can help out too. Other than you and Zero Chan, who else is in Japan/goes there often?
Maybe it'll make me pick up studying my Japanese again... somehow sometime between my other studies.
I agree that, although I can still recognize many kanji, I can't write them too well (or know the yomi for that matter) because it's just so easy to rely on the computer to do that for you.

The thing about Japanese (or any foreign language, for that matter) is that you'll never really learn unless you're surrounded by people who speak it, and use it constantly.

The one Japanese person that I sometimes practice with is not enough to really keep all the stuff I learned from leaking out of my brain over the summer.

That's why in about a year, I'm going to go to Tokyo to study. Maybe I'll run into some of you guys =) Finally, I'll have lots of people to practice VF against!

Use the search, I need to restart my comp so when it reboots I will try to find the thread. But there is already a thread with all characters (who speak in Japanses) translated to English.

    Match Start:
"Shu! Ware ni teki nashi!" (I have no enemy)

    Round Won:
"Tenka Musou!" (Under the sky... no one can beat me!)
"Ware ni teki nashi!" (I am invincible)

Tenka Musou is not very common. Just another word for "unbeatable", with a weird martial arts feel to it. Ask a Japanese person - unless they play games, they likely won't know what it means. If you do a search for "Tenka", you'll probably find an old post of mine that talks about the Ver. C feedback system. You had like 8 things to choose from, and one of them was "Tenka Musou". Chibita had like 1000 of these, from other players.

The "ware ni teki nashi" literally means "I have no enemy", but more colloquially is like, "nobody's worthy enough to be my enemy."

this time let's fight with attacks (punches, kicks)
(but of he says dangeki then it's something else,I don't know)

dageki is yeah, punches and kicks etc (hitting stuff)
basically what Goh is saying is if he should fight without using his Judo skills.

And gaijin punch, you are pretty much right about tenka musou.
Unless you play the Japanese version of dynasty warriors, it ain't really used. Dynasty warriors is called sangoku musou in Japan. Looking up a 'Japanese kanji dictionary', musou means peerless. I think if people played FFT, Agurias and Sid had a sword move with a musou name in it. Pretty much meaning you only see it in games.

Dynasty Warriors... is this the old Capcom CPS1 game? If so, it's called Tenchi wo Kurau... or maybe yer referring to the PS2 game. Haven't tried it yet. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
