okay so is this a completely new guide for Ver.C on the 360 or just a re-release of the old one that came out in February?

A new guide with the new move properties, combos, costume items, and frame data would be pretty sweet!

The PS3 guide doesn't have frame data, so I kind of doubt they'll add them to a 360 guide.

The 360 guide will most likely be an update on character items. No big whoop.

who knows lets hope they give us frame data and move properties. Brandygames did a good job with Street fighter anniversary collection so they get my props.

LOL. No frames in this one.

I'll ask my sister in-law and get the scoop.

Damn did this never happen. It will suck ass though and be a total waste of money like the other one.

  5. Frame data would be nice, SF Alpha Anthology Guide was pretty good too.

I don't even think this guide is the updated version of the former PS3 guide ...

It is. It has expanded and updated strategy content and full Rival/Emblem/Item Quest Mode tables.

But it does not have version C frame data included (as most official strategy guides)?

I am new to Virtua Fighter (having only played Virtua Fighter 4 Evo very briefly), and was wondering if this would be a good buy. If it doesn't have complete move sets, then I won't bother with it. But if it does, what else does it contain? Is it going to be a waist of some $15 or so? Or can it actually aid me in learning the game mechanics (as they seem very different from other 3D Versus Fighting games).

Also, can anyone confirm if the move sets, strategies, et cetera have been updated for Rev. C (and not just recycled from the Rev. B PS3 guide)? Because if the info in the guide will not apply to the Xbox 360 version of the game, then this is quite a waist of money (that is, for someone playing it on the Xbox 360).

It's probably a safe buy for new people to the game I would imagine. Though honestly if vf5's training mode is anything like vf4 then I will be a happy guy with just that.

the dojo mode in vf5 is nowhere near as comprehensive as it was in the ps2 port of vf4. there's no tutorials explaining the game system (throw escapes, quick recovery ect) or any of the useful combo training.

you get command input training, free training and that's about it.

What I did to learn the game, was play the demo, watch a lot of movies online for my character and then practiced the combos I saw.

I've never played any Vf game before, but I think I'm an OK player, maybe a guide like this woud be useful, since it might explian more about the game system, evades, and throw escapes.

I saw it, my cuzin bought it. It's useless. Unless you like nice pictures and flashy letters. It's got everything you know already, and if you didn't know I'm sure you could probably find it in the instruction book. On the subject of items, it does seem that the version C items will be available only from XBLM, unless they didn't really update the xbox version of the Guide. I looked through the item list for Akira for that "flaming bracelet" and couldn't find it. On the plus side it does give you the emblem guide and item list. But thats something you can get here from VFDC. My opinion? Get that money and purchase a point card instead.
