No Mercy Movie Update -- Featuring ShinZ

<a target="_blank" href=http://www.thenomercy.wo.to/>No Mercy</a> are hosting new clips from the TBZone tournament last month. All but 1 of these clips features ShinZ. For the most part, it's ShinZ (playing Jacky) vs. the members of No Mercy.

new 8 way walk?

what the hell have I missed that I have no way of recognizing the new 8way step shinz is performing? What is that!

vsrp08.wmv -> the end of the 2nd round! 49 seconds in. he tries it in the first round and can't get it.

Impressive vids! Shinz has so many ways to spaz out with Jacky it's ridiculous. I love how he beat Shun into the corner with the backturned backfist string. I also loved how Shinz had the Shun player so scared he still blocking after Shun won the round by time out. Shinz's a beast.

Alrighty....
as far as I know...to do it u must

tap up or u/f..which ur character will then walk. Then at this stage, u tap G n release G.

However...U cannot press K-g cancel at this stage. As long as u're walking, u cannot press K cause ur's inputing the hop kick command!.

U cannot tap down as well...cause u end up crouching too .

The trick is to be able to do it at shinz's pace. If u go view the clip again, u'll see his Jacky was moving quite fast.
Thus, there's a need for a well timed repetition when tapping the G button during the 8 way walk (or as AM2 calles it ' All Range Movement')

Without timing, ur character is just gonna stand there, not moving alot at all.

its just a variation of the way the jpns use the TT-walk technique except shinz uses it in your face. same logic and handling applies.
note that tapping G actually reduces your 8 way walk speed and can make most linear attacks track u if its done thoughtlessly
what im guessing at is that shinz is adapting the Soul Calibur 8wayrun ura tactics (guardimpact.com plug/refer ivy movies) to work in vf4. if the concept holds, then this would be a flashy technique indeed

p.s. of cos all the above could be moot if its just shinz habit of spazzing on the G. he does it a real lot.....

is there a special input similar to the wavedash in Tekken ? ?

try it out yourself. see what happens

Damn impressive Jacky. He seems fond of only a couple combos, with which he gets like 5-6 hits. He's very good.

A couple of new movies from 4/5 ; check 'em out under Teambattle. Also, there is a 'mystery' clip Under "Stuff", which is pretty weird /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif .

Anyone interested in seeing what kind of Sticks Korean use, I think one of the pictures shows a stick /versus/images/icons/smile.gif.
