North West UK VF Thread

Ok, I decided to start fresh with a brand spanking new thread for us. Hopefully this thread can be kept flame free and solely devoted to discussion of VF4Evo, VF meets, VF5 and other mumblings. Also, the title is more specific now so people know exactly where we are based (when I say "we" I mean the majority of us...me, Ade, Scott, Synth, Steev...not much of a majority but whatever).

Fingers crossed, with the anouncement of VF5 some closet VF fans will have their interest in VF re-lighted. Plus we have the Ranking Battles down in London to train for.

Ade, Shaun, Dan are you going down to the next one?

If you're going Ade maybe we could book tickets at the same time and travel together from Picadilly. It's on Saturday 14th Jan...will have to wait and see if I've been paid by then. Ade, maybe Synth would be up for it?

Ahh god damn I'll be back home in scouse land by then (going home this saturday).

Jennys has T5, Third Strike, GGXX and CvS2 as far as I know but I aint been in there for about a month. Rumour has it that Tag is being put back on but I don't know if that's true or not.

How long are you back in manc for? I'm sure Ade will try and organise a meet up if you're back.

Good to have this thread back. I've missed it so God Damn much! Been rinsing Evo to fucking death. Thankfully Tekken is now more or less binned, and Evo might as well be glued to the PS2.

Good stuff, glad this thred is back up. Lets keep it thin so anyone who wants to read all about what goes on here isnt put off by 256 pages of stuff. I prob wont be able to make it to the Jan London meet but I should think the one after will be fine. Who knows, maybe I'll make it to the Jan one. Still no luck on getting a new arcade stick. Chris was right, noones gonna get any sc2 sticks in, all lies I tells ya. Anyone fancy coming down to Bath to play some games?

 

Yeah, the only place you'll be able to get hold of a SC2 stick is off ebay I think.

Maybe you could get in touch with Jericho_MPM, he may have some in stock from ages ago.

Other than that you could spend a huge amount on getting a RAP...it is worth it tbh.

I'd get into the spirit, but I NEVER play VF anymore, so I'm probably not gonna come to local meetings till VF 5 comes out, or when Andy comes back and I can get regular practice again.....

Yup, I should be able to make it, but would prefer to stay over one night so I can get loads of games in, a couple of hourse ain't enough! (Yes, I'm a greedy bastard!).

Ill chat with you soon about times/dates etc. Does anyone know Jericho_MPM's e-mail address, I lost an ebay bid on a namco stick, it was too high, like 56 quid for a second hand one, just thought it was too much. Theres a hori fighting stick on ebay, cheap. Ade its the one you said was shite but Im getting deperate lol. If someon can post Jericho_MPM's email I can find out before the hori stick expires in 24 hours time. Cheers.

I'm back in manc this sat as you know Ade and I'll be busy sunday morn with some mundane things but it's fine for you to call round at about 12 or something in the afternoon.

I purposely left my copy of Evo in manc to ensure I drop some bad habits so will be rusty for a bit on sunday but am def ready to get back into the game properly.

Some 1st to 10's sound good?

I may start using Pai and Aoi more in the build up to VF5, just for some variation. Any news of TC getting DR?

kaworu here, I am leaving T5 alone for a bit my Lee is good enough ^_^ I have decided to get back into VF4: evo since VF5 looks so freaking awesome! I have been playing alot with Xeion and his virtua stick (i want one!)

I am leaving my skanky lion behind and sticking with Goh. and a little brad ^^

Anyway if there are any meets in the near future I would be well up for some practice and too see some of the cool shit you guys already know ^_^

I was the other skanky Lion player, glad you are back playing VF, if you fancy coming to Bath for some matches you are v welcome, Chris and Ade might be coming down sometime so maybe you could tag along. (Andy, kaworu is the Scott I mentioned a while back, he was at the last VF tourney we had here).

So yeah, great to see you here Scott, I'll add in some links to some Goh stuff for you. We should get Synth to create an ID here as well, he's well into VF and we need more players up here discussing things. Does his brother play as well?

Guess i should say hello, didn't realise there was an NW VF community, i basically spent my 1st year of uni playing Evo. I was another Lion player, but i've decided to switch to jacky instead.

I can see this taking up alot of my spare time from now on, can't wait to rape your Goh Scott ^_^
