I met a guy in Paris at an arcade that was from Shanghai. He was pretty good -- we had some good fights with some other frenchies. Ver. B., so I was a bit off w/ my Lei Fei, but my Shun was doing all right. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

He mentioned there were a lot of strong players in Shanghai.

hey man, are you talking about the vfzone.com rar archives they've been dishing out the last couple of days? cuz i can't seem to get any of those to work...even the huge 660 meg clunker, so i deleted that due to disk space!! If anyone here can tell me waht's the deal with those rar files (password protected, incompatibility etc...) that'd be awesome

    doh. You deleted it?
all you needed was either winrar or possibly a divx codec, either of which is like ... a meg.

Now you'll have to download both if you really want the movie.
Are we talking about something BESIDES the 600 meg captures from the zepp tokyo tournament, which was a version B? From my memory they were just zips or something, and were encoded in something with a monster bitrate, which played really chuggy on most PC's.

sol, I checked the link, which is at
    http://vfzone.com/movie/cup/v-stage01/evo_vstage01.rar
and I'm betting that this is a big zip of gaijinpunch's no-sound caps, which all say [v-stage01] at the front. If that's the case, you prolly shouldn't bother (no offense to GP, not his fault there's no sound) ...
I'll probably end up downloading this juuuust to be sure, maybe gaijin punch can comment on what v-stage01 is, and thereby confirm/deny whether this might be his stuff or possibly something else.

edit: I confirmed that the vstage url is gaijin punch's clips. Thank schmolz! The url for the 650 mb file is:

    http://vfzone.com/movie/cup/tokyobayvol.2/bayareacupvol2.rar

    Yaaay!
for this you will likely need winrar (ultimate zip will choke on rars) and the latest divx codec ... if any of the above fails, I'll do what I can to make the clip compliant.

Sorry about the no sound -- not my fault, correct. I bought that XGA Pro converter... getting closer. We had the screen, but it was overscanned about 4x and jumping around (probalby b/c it was overscanned so much, and displaying it on a big ass plasma screen). I gave it to the floor manager of Shibuya Gigo and told him to screw around with it and try to get it to work. Fingers crossed.

I've also got BayArea Cup 2 broken up into DivX files on my site if anyone is scared of a 650 MB download. I'm working on Bay Area Cup 3 right now.

Can you use the code of 320*240.30fps.MPEG1 when providing Bay Area Cup 3
I'd like to offer you a larger space with a faster speed if your space is not big enough.
