NYC Tourament Killa5

Im new to this site and im an pretty damn good VF player (won some tourments in my time) and I wanna add VF4 Evo too the Killa5 line up of tourments (they known for tekken5 ggxreloaded n capcom games) of crouse money goes too 1st place 2nd and third. I know thiers plenty of VF players here in New york some of which who I kno are already going to be competing. Tourament date is OCT.6 I believe

 

Killa 5? Never heard of them. I've heard of King of the Couch tourneys. I'll check it out regrdless, I play other games too.

Oct 6 is a Thursday, the day NY VF'ers usually meetup at Gametime Nation. Where is the tourney located?

I plan on having a FT tourney on the Oct 8th at GTN but havent' made an official announcement yet.

 

Killa5 touraments is relatively new..they had tourneys in nj and only had one tourny here in NY which was a month ago. But it was pretty great it was sponser by some pretty big names like Red bull (yes they give out free red bulls) and Majesco which was a company that published GGX in the states.

Im actually apart of Killa5 so I help manage but I will surly be apart of the VF tourament which is why im posting here. too get more ny players too come down to it ppl think that I wont be able too generate enough players for VF but I wanna prove em wrong so far I got a couple of my friends who r also pretty good.

 

Even though I'm not in the NY area, I think this is awesome. Even though Evo on PS2 is very old now, gamers from other communities still want to invite VF players to their events. If I was in the area, I'd definately go.

Im in! Yea it's EVO, but I'll do anything to support or make the scene a better place. Although the chance is small, this make be the domino effect the VF community could be looking for. If everything goes well what's to say we can't get a little help for something bigger once VF5 drops. So again, COUNT ME IN. I am sure the entire NYC VF crew wouldn't mind spending one of their Thursday nights at the Killa5 tourney. You just be sure to have enough EVO setups or else you may make the wolves restless. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ah yes, I've heard of you guys. I think Killa 5 and King of the Couch are related, no. KOTC did Halo and fighting game tourneys in Dover, NJ for a few months this year. I never went to them though. I also read about the tourney at Bennigans a few weeks back on SRK and GC.

Give us more details, I knew the Bennigans had a cover charge + tourney fee. I take it will be dbl-el bracket setup correct.

 

Yes ur correct the King of Couch are assoated with killa5.. and oh btw I was just informed that it the tourament date has been pushed forward too Sept 25 on Sun rather then Oct 6 on thursday..sorry for the inconvenice

yea ur right they are..the manager orginally wanted too keep the VF tourneys too Oct but he decided why not make it this month..oh btw im intrested in joining ur FT tourament whats the nearest Subway too GTN?

 

oh BTW any controller is allowed with anyone with converters so if you have an arcade stick thats fine or if you perfer the ps2 contorller thats also fine. 3 rounds 200 health 45 secs..I will post back later about the price

Sorry guys I forgot too post more info..well here it is.

At the tourny free unlimted redbull is going to be served also thier is a cover charge n a tourny fee but imma try n see what I can do to make it lower for the VF'ers. normally thou at the door its 10 dollars with the tourament being another 10. I will attempt too make it 5 bucks at the door if you mention my name Denkai for the VF players
Btw-VF isnt the only game thiers tons of em thats going too appear for casuals and tournys

thier is a prize for 1st 2nd and third but thats only if 10 r more ppl enter the tournament if its less then 10 then its only a prize for 1st

Prize is split by pot 70/20/10 (70% to 1st, 20% to 2nd, and 10 to 3rd)
Games:
*Please note that all games are double elimination*
* Bring your own controller either pad or arcade stick is fine*
* To run Tourney more smoothly games will be run at the same time*
* You may only press start in the begging of the match to change controls*

Oh n btw too all the GTN players out there im unformular with tourny rules for VF4 so im guessing its .3 rounds 45secs, 200 health, no DUral if it isnt then reply on this forum to tell me the correct rules
