Playing with Goh the other day, the oddest thing happened. I was going to do [2][K]+[G] after I hit with [8][P]+[K] because my opponent tended to sidestep after getting hit but I entered the command a bit early. What happened was the I went into the [2][K]+[G] throw animation as the[8][P]+[K] connected. Has anyone seen this before?

(*this has been covered in "goh's [2][K]+[G]" post in the training section*), might wana check it out.

    Goh's catch-throws his oppenent with [2][K]+[G] if ya catch him/her while he/she is in a tech-roll.

probably entered the command quick enough for it to happen. it can happen, its doable.

No! you guy's don't get it. The throw animation started as the [8][P]+[K] hit. It looked as if the[8][P]+[K] triggered the throw animation. If I had the equipment I would post the replay but I don't.

BTW I started the [2][G]+[K] thread and I have certainly been watching it. I just thought this was extremely odd, possibly a bug and I thought it deserved it's own thread.

I think you may have unknowingly triggered a bug with Goh's [2][K]+[G]. See this media post on Bugs for an explanation of sorts and some demo movies.

Thanks, it looked a lot like that except the game just continued as normal afterwards. I don't remember who I was playing against but it could well have been Akira. I will have another look and let you know.

nope, it wasn't Akira, it was goh vs goh, the round was fairly uneventful until that point. I still think it was something like that bug though.

It doesn't have to be against Akira. Read my post further into that thread for more info. Basically, it can work against anyone.

    Haha, this explained it.
I saw my friends video where this happened.
Goh vs Goh. My friend used [3][K](after dancing little with [8]/[2][K]+[G]) and as it hit the opponents Goh(who was performing [4][6][P]+[K]) it became [8][K]+[G] throw animation /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.
He was probably going to ask about it here, but no point anymore. Have to tell him today.

    Ah, I see - Sort of.... /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I'm still not sure exactly what causes it, and it seems like it operates differently for goh than for pai. I haven't been able to repeat it but I haven't been trying very hard. I will have another look at that japanese page when I can be bothered reading the japanese.
