I am a casual gamer. I was never a hardcore player. The hardcore players have always had their control in this genre and that needs to change. Plus I don't play 3d fighting games competitively anyway.

 

Eh? Then what are you complaining about? You have more than enough games you can play in that case.

 

I'm unclear what you even mean. You're either stating that hardcore players should be banned from the genre or that they have control over the direction the genre takes and you don't like it. It's also quite possible that this is your brain randomly pissing into your fingertips. You just type what it dribbles without editing. I'm glad you don't multitask in your head.

 

There needs to be more fighters in the 3d genre that is all I am saying. My brain is not randomly pressing buttons this is what I see as a costumer.

 

If anything though, the 'hardcore' have not guided the way of the fighters in general for the last couple of years. Like, at all.

 

So get serious, then. Log out of here. Learn to program. Take business courses. Start a game company. Hire designers. Hire more programmers. Make a new 3D fighting game. Call it "No Hardcore. Other H."

Also - start a habit-breaker. It's just like fixing something in VF. Whenever you remember you're upset about something and suddenly feel the need to write about it here, instead of hitting reply, hit log-out, turn on your VF game, and practice the system.

 

I actually agree with Tex in that I'd like to see more 3D fighters. I've always said to myself that I'd like to see another company join the battle to give some competition to Virtua Fighter, Tekken, and DOA. I don't put Soul Calibur in that group because it's weapons based and the others are hand to hand, though I would like to see another weapons based 3D fighter.

I remember a while back that Konami released a game called Kensei: Sacred Fists for the original Playstation, but they never released any sequels to it, at least to my knowledge.

 

I am on the verge of creating a philosophycal system based on VF.

It goes like this: Life is like a VF turnament: there are very good people(states?)partecipating, but most of the other competitors have no idea what they are doing, or they don't even know they are partecipating in a turnament.

Of course the pro's are going to demolish the noobs. Then, the following year, there are going to be those who practiced hard in dojo, those who just blamed the cheapness of the hardcore, and those who still don't have a fucking clue and are going to get trashed.

And so on and so forth, life is a turnament taking place every year, and even if people don't want to partecipate, they still have to. So the final question is: are you going to try your best or just moan about it?

I could call this metaphore "Matteism" or "Bullshittism" or Virtual Fighterism" . what do you guys think?

 

If I was in Japan that could happen. Unemployment is only 5.6. However, sadly I live in American where unemployment is about 10% nation wide. People can't start a new company because the banks are not loaning.

 

Starting a company is step four (and don't worry about a bank loan - you won't get one without a business plan - even in the best of times). You forgot steps one through three. One and two are free.

I have a business plain and game doc. However, no money to copyright and patent protection. It is hard in a recession.
