    AAAAAAHHHH. OMG... screenshots! Hot dang....

I guess it looks like I'm not selling my PS2 afterall /versus/images/icons/frown.gif All I want to know now is when it will be released in North America.

    Goody for having a Japanese PS2 /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif
Would rather see it on Xbox though. Better graphics and maybe even live support for trading itmes, replays, and pitting A.I.s against each other...

They could incorporate those same online functions into the PS2 version. The graphics look fine to me.

    Nice Brian!

It looks like they've made a version of "Quest Mode" for the PS2, which means we'll probably get Mission and ShoDatsuSen too!

Any idea where those screens are from?

    Maybe from here:

Quest mode seems interesting, i'll try and translate it later.
Judging by the screenshot, you can go to different arcade centers and duke it out, seems like they are REALLY trying to bring home VF.net as much as possible.

from what I can tell by reading the small news article, the PS2 version of Quest is kind of like Kumite, with over 500 different players. Instead of just choosing Kumite though, you have a virtua map of Japan, and you can visit different game centers in different parts of Japan to seek out oppts to help you fulfill your Quest.

cool. It also says training mode has been beefed up.

Training mode beefed up?! What COULD you possibly add to that? The Free training I mean.
Trial could be even deeper though, with more combo suggestions.

/versus/images/icons/ooo.gif /versus/images/icons/shocked.gif do you means a mode that as good as mission mode for SC and last as long as Kumite mode?

I guess we'll have ver B of EVO for PS2.

Which means probably that ver B will be the last version of EVO in the arcades...

I wonder if the next VF will be an 'evolution' again or VF5.

And I also wonder if EVO will come out on other systems, I didn't see the word 'exclusive' around...
Anyway I'll get the JP version of PS2 as soon as it's out /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

I wouldn't count on that. Ver. C & VF4 on PS2 came out the same day --- about 6 months after VF4 was even announced, so if Ver. B does come out this month, you can bet there could possibly be on last tweak.

how much time was there between ver B and C?
Anyway, they could make some last tweaks in 3-4 months' time...
    Oh well, wait & see...

God...all I want is Taka back /versus/images/icons/frown.gif Do you think there's a chance /versus/images/icons/smirk.gif (I know there isn't, but other people saying no would help me to not get my hopes up).

And will it still have kumite mode, or does quest replace it?

Nevermind. I read the official release info...answered my own question.

Between Ver. B & C was only about 3 months or so, so it's very possible, and quite likely I would assume.

In all honesty though, I'm WAY more excited about SEga Ages remakes coming to PS2 -- mainly Phantasy Star -- looks beautiful. I only played the PS2 version of VF4 for about a week.
