It seems that Gamepro is organizing some sort of VF4 tournament in San Francisco. The way it works is kinda weird -- you enter a sweepstakes, and the four winners of the sweepstakes get to compete in the tournament. A bit lame, but there you go.

    Here's the link:

The thing that makes it worth it are the prizes. If you win the tournament you get a VF4 arcade machine signed by Yu Suzuki. Pretty sweet.

You get a PS2 and a copy of PS2 VF4 (also signed) just for winning the sweepstakes. Oh and they fly you to SF to fight the other three... heh they give you $250 spending money, which by my calculations is good for around 20 minutes of parking at the Embarcadero Center =]

Can you really call that a tournament?

i'm confused- are there only gonna be 4 people in the tournament total, or can your average joe shmo enter the tournament without having been one of the 4 who won the sweepstakes?

that's the weird part. There's only four people in the "tournament". Go figure.
