oh god Fighting Vipers/Megamix/FV2 in 2009!?

Ok, what about these games? I know very little about them and I figure it's worth sparking some discussion now that VF5 is arguably "stale". I'm sure this topic has been done to death, and I apologize in advance if this annoys you

First question: Are any of them worth a damn from a competitive standpoint or are they just goofy takes on VF?

 

FV had it's share of niche players and the game had elements that were competitive.

FV2 was imo, somewhat gimmicky.

Megamix was a gimmick. Its sole use was practice for learning to DLC way back in the early days of VF3.
